I can read and I can digest, I just respectfully disagree at this moment in time. . Er ...I pointed out earlier that the last time Patrick played Manchester he played The Academy 2. It was (virtually) full. That was the crux of my questioning the downgrade of venue. See? From your comments it appeared that this was overlooked. Or indeed, not 'digested'. PS. Trust me, 'the Magic Position brigade' have long gone. Coming out of the closet finished most of 'em off.

Er... I am aware what you pointed out, and yes I can "see" what you are saying. Basically, in life, sometimes people don't think exactly the same way you as you do, and the fact he's playing a smaller venue doesn't bother them as much as it seems to bother you. That doesn't mean these people can't read or understand your passive aggresively written statements, it just means they don't see it as much as a big deal as you do.

No. You addressed the wrong part of my concern, and then went off on a tangent. So just calm down eh?

No, all I did was let you know that you had the venue wrong. Half your opening post was spent describing it, and I wanted to make you aware that you were incorrect. It is simply not possible for you to determine, or infact dictate which part of your post/concern you wish people to respond to, short of adding a disclaimer to the end that means you talk down to anyone who doesn't respond as you wish them to. ... and it's patently obvious that it is you that needs to calm down, it's just a venue for a gig, and your decision to respond to any poster in this thread with "er...no" and other such responses, is to be honest, quite rude. If however, you are up for a discussion regarding the venue and its merits rather than denying that expression as you feel the need to ignore it as it doesn't quite fit into your view of how people should have responded - then that would be good. I, for one, as I have stated, have had good experiences at Club Academy. How about you? To be honest, my only gripe with it is that "leaning" areas aren't in abundance, and at the age of 27 I feel I can't stand for too long these days

I'm afraid you have missed my point, but I do not wish to labour it anymore. Oh, sod it. I will. ... I've seen PW on the last 6 occasions in Manchester. And at EVERY gig the audience has grown. The last time he was at Academy 2. And that was his biggest Manc audience yet. There is an obvious pattern there that seems to have been ignored by the tour management. And seeing as I'm involved in all this music biz malarky myself, I'm curious as to why. That's all. Genuinely sorry to have cheesed you off, and I appreciate the elequence in your reply. Damn, I wish I was only 27.

I genuinely understand your point, and I also respect it - it just doesn't bother me as much because I'm a fan of smaller intimate venues, that's all. I'm actually quite a fan of Academy 3 also, have seen Patrick there quite a few times and some other acts and have always enjoyed it.
I hope that you decide to attend the gig anyway, as would be a shame to miss it!

Hey good news for you: "Due to high ticket demand Patrick's show in Manchester on the 26th March has been upscaled to the Academy 2. The tour is selling fast so get your tickets now to save disappointment!"

Good news maybe, more pertinently though, it's just proved my point. :-)
