I love the texture of dough and cake mix and batter and I like that it all collects on your fingers and makes them about 3 times the size. I made gingerbread the other day and I was loving rolling this around not my picture as I didn't document it. I love the texture of talcum powder, but not when it's on my hands too much. I hate the texture of the mysterious bits that you find in your sink plughole. Maybe it just disturbs me because old food disturbs me. There, I made a new thread. It may just sit there, getting dusty, but if you ever wish to speak about textures of any surface or material, this is obviously the place for you. You can reminisce about fuzzy felt and stuff.

The best thing in the WORLD is big tubs of beans/coffee grain/buttons/smarties etc that you can run your fingers through!
Oh, and towelling (towels, dry flannels, my teddy) is so nice as well. If they made clothes out of towels, i would so be the first to buy them.
I quite like dough, but the process of kneading it to start with is grim, gets all under your nails and it's all gooey.
I've never touched sink goo and don't ever plan to.. I personally hate that type of fleece that makes you get a static shock..ERGH.

The texture of pear is so disgusting! Also my friend is scared of jelly because of the texture, and I see what she means. When it comes to good textures, I agree with Rhianne about towelling.

Yesss, soft towels. OH and yes I love running my fingers through coffee beans, you know, like in starbucks they put some of the beans on the side, I always have a bit of a play, ha. Which also reminds me of how good a tub of buttons is, as long as there are no sewing needles inside, I have made that mistake before.
I quite like the feel of velour as long as you rub it the right way but it is a pretty awful material, I don't think I've ever seen it look good.
The texture of petals is pretty amazing too.

Mmm, petals is good! And I agree, i hate pears (flavour is grim too). And YES those starbucks things were what I was thinking of. Velour is the only thing I wear, GOD JADE (joking!)

Haha, I'm now purposely going to invest in a lovely velour tracksuit that says 'JUICY' on the bum, just for you. I will wear it to a wolfboard meet up. You wait.

I agree with everyone here! But I have to add that I hate the texture (and noise) of charcol/pastels/chalk they set my teeth on edge. The only way I can possibly use them is with masking tape on, and an ipod, so I can't hear them!

On the same line as the texture/sound of chalkboards and whatnot, you know some cars that are really old and not shiny anymore and sort of matt, SCRATCHING ONE OF THOSE MAKES ME DIE. not that i scratch cars, but I can tell it makes the same grrruuuurrrrrrk as the chalkboard does.
I guess this is sounds now, but the sound of cutlery scratching plates. EEERREEK

I agree about the texture of charcoal, it makes me cringe just thinking about it. But the worst texture ever is polysterene. It's warm and horrid and sounds like the worst thing in the world when you scrape it against something.

Good stuff florence, I do know the tunes 'cept I can't pinpoint the middle one. They are pretty cute . YOU SAW JAY Z LIVE? lol Oh, chool I quite like breaking and creaking polystyrene. I remember being really environmentally friendly when I was younger and scraping it onto the floor so it breaks into tiny little balls. Lovely.

Hey Jade, did I tell you about the time I saw Jay-Z live!? Hahah! Oh Florence. I was telling someone the other day about how he'd been to your Pizza Hut I agree about grimy cars, Jade. I changed a tyre earlier (proud!) and scraped my nail over that dirty part of the hub. UIDFHUKDSFHLEDF horrid.

I spend most of my days (these days) feeling glass tile. Just the front is wonderful. There's tiny tile that's wonderful to run one's hands through. Edges kind of suck. I also love feeling recycled bottle glass tile, but again, just the front. It's nice and cool and a little bubbly. The edges of the recycled tiles tend to leave shards in one's fingers.
Oh by the way, don't get glass dust on your cuticles. It stings and itches simultaneously.
