haha it's funny because they're old and that is quite a young person's car.
I want a really tiny rubbishy car so I can love it for all it's faults. I will name it something to do with it's number plate. I LOVE number plates so that's what i'm mainly excited for.

^LOL. This is what I drive. It is a 2001 Oldsmobile Alero, in this very color. Mine's a bit more scratched up/filthier than this one, and the back speakers don't work, and gas nozzle thing doesn't close right and therefore when inspection time comes 'round it shall not pass... but it does its job. What I REALLY want, though, is a big ass Cadillac. The biggest one you can find. Preferably a 1970's one.

That's a nice car colour, it looks like wine! Pink is rad too. I don't drive. My desire to own a car is also relatively nonexistent for some reason. Of all the ways by which I travel, I like the train best because it kind of resembles a caterpillar. CHOO CHOO

Aw, Anna. My bf has a Mini and it just sits in the garage for the very same reason. He's in the process of selling it. But he'll always be a Mini-driver at heart, and scoffs at the fake-y BMW Minis on the road these days (I kinda get his perspective. Those things are bigger than half the cars in the UK.) In Canada I drove a Chevrolet Optra-5 with my sister, who still drives it. Good times. I can't decide if I'm going to learn to drive in the UK, given that the roads here are scary and squishy, and where I live it's pretty easy to walk/train to most places. But I do miss being behind the wheel. Her name is Pip. I love her, and her enormously fat arse.

it's not really a lower driving age, you can drive in the uk from like, 16 it's just that no-one does. we have a good public transport system, and learning to drive isn't a milestone like it is in america and other places... ain't nuffin but a culture thang.
also, i think cars are cheaper outside the uk.`

I share a 1997 Chevy Monte Carlo with my brother. It takes me places so I like that. Before this, we had a 1995 Buick Lesabre, aka the supreme old person car. It was so huge it was like a rolling sofa. My brother totaled it, and the owner of the garage down the road wanted to sell the Monte Carlo so we got that instead. Our old car only had a radio/tape player. This one has a CD player. We are moving up in the world, car-wise. This is what the rolling sofa looked like: images03.olx.com/ui/2/31/27/34522427_1.jpgThe new one is like this, but a dark teal color: carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_images/3/179/1901/25445950001_large.jpg

it just died, but my brother and I used to share this beauty: 1984 Volvo 4-door. white exterior, black leather inside - except for the back seat, which we replaced with a black velvet one cause the leather got all cracked. the front seats had grey sheepskin covers, cause the leather there was destroyed, too. we bought it when i was ~7 off our neighbour who fell out of a tree and broke his neck. i loved that car, it drove so well. the horn broke a year ago, which was a bummer, so we had an airhorn stuck out the window. also the sunroof leaked so we taped it up in the winter. but the dashboard was awesome, i felt like i was in a cockpit: and instead of fifth gear, it had this square button on the head of the shifter that you'd press for 'OVERDRIVE.' i'd always say "engage!"' when i put it gear. my parents have a 2004 subaru outback. its boring so i won't post a picture. the clutch SUCKS and the whole car stinks of dogs.

I am too scared of the crazy traffic to even cycle in this city let alone try to control a potential mad killing machine. My dad tried to teach me to drive years ago but during the very first lesson I somehow managed to crash into our fence and I couldn't stop shaking for about an hour, I guess I'm just not made for the non-wussy driver fabric. I did see a pretty impressive lisence plate the other day though MI VAG
