news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/10296595.stmWell, any Catholic who has EVER denied the gayness of the priesthood... Repent, kthx. I want to see this for so many reasons, none of which are me thinking it will actually be good. Please, please come to the west end, Pope-y. Please! ETA: Very sad to hear that the musical sidesteps his views on contraception. That would've been the obvious showstopping musical number.

i've got a bust of this dude in my living room. we gave him googlie-eyes and he looks down reproachfully at us as we go about our sinful lives. but now i think the late JP II deserves a gake-over. gay-over? is there a term for a gay make-over? drawing a blank...

It can't possibly be as crass and campy as Jesus Christ Superstar.

^ I think you underestimate the power of two gay men who've devoted their lives to the church and have never before had an outlet for their glitter and fabulousness to shine through, Josh. But we shall see. Sibz, I was actually just wondering why nobody HAD done a musical about the internet. Good to hear you're on it. Allison, I believe gaykover is the extremely flawed but most commonly used term. It's just impossible to spell it in a way that looks proper... Which I suppose is fitting for the term.
