I thought I make an own thread for the Eurovision song contest 2010 because it's already been mentioned in some other threads before. I'm seriously nervous this year!! And it's the first time since years that I like our entry. And I know someone who will be part of the german supporting team in the audience. And I'll watch in on a party(probably). And I wish Lena all the best. And I'm so looking foward to the result. Aaaaaaand.. aw, it'll be wonderful this year!! ..at least I hope so. any favourites so far? I hope InCulto (Lithuania) will be in the final because I quite like their 'Eastern European Funk'. Also I like the spanish entry by Daniel Diges.

Ours will be shit and we will lose, because no one in our country seems to be able to grasp that the rest of Europe likes crazy, theatrical music, not shitty ballads. eta: sorry for my bad mood. I am deffo going to watch this, despite the fact that none of my friends will

As someone who breathes pop music through every pore, I find Eurovision offensive.
Apart from Sylvia Night a few years ago, she was great:
My favourite part is when she PHONES GOD and does a BUGS BUNNY IMPRESSION.
She got booted out before the actual show.
Cheerio, Michael. xxx

It's going to be my first Eurovision experience, this year.... I really don't know what to make of it.
Some songs are quite cool. The UK entry makes me want to literally eat paste.
Like, I'll listen to it, and then think "guess I'll sit here and eat some paste now".
I guess, to its credit, no song has ever made me feel quite like that.

Going home from uni this weekend specially so I can watch it with the family, it's a massive deal in our house My Norwegian flatmate guttingly doesn't seem to be at all bothered about it, despite the fact that her country won last year! The only entry I've heard so far this year is ours, which I think is awful...

i still find it an extreme injustive that ukraine didn't win that year they had that crazy shiny tranny on it Lmfao, so true! The best bit of all of Eurovision is when anyone says 'Ukraine'. YOO K RAIN! You should hear my impression IRL, it's gorge. I'm rejecting a party to watch Eurovison. This is for you, Wboard. I remember when TatU were on it. They were pants (not exactly a shock, but whatever). Also, Serbian people are OBSESSED with Eurovision and when I went over there for a Scout camp all they ever asked for (apart from to 'meet behind toilet?') was me to sing 'School Dayz' by Daz Sampson. Oh dear.

Bushman, I watched those two Sylvia Night videos, having never heard of her before.
Now I can't remember what life was like before knowing of her existence. Amazing.

this made me laugh in the past half hour: he looks like Barbie but the song and his dancing is just too funny. Balkan, Bakan, Balkan ovo je Balken c'mon! It's a catchy song. I'll sing it to everyone I meet tomorrow.. haha I wish saturday was tomorrow!

^he really scares me quite a bit...and i think i might have a vague idea from which part of Europe he is hoping to get the most points from.haha I have been really out of the Eurovision loop for the past few years and now a quick googling tells me that Estonia is already out for this year and I actually rather like the song but I can see how it isn't really the type that would make waves in this contest.

^ I quite like the song and the video with snow and the giant paper heads. It has a deeper more in-depth value than most other entries in the contest.
