i obviously don't post enough to get offended by my exclusion. heh. though if you wanna talk divisiveness, how about making a topic where you list the "posters" as a grand total of 16 people? I'm sure it makes everyone feel welcome. the problem with threads like this is it makes people all too aware of the supposed cliques. just get on with it, and forget about the drama already. surely there's something to post about on the forum other than just self analytical introspection of the forum itself, even if it's light hearted. exalt for this. i don't understand this thread or its point at all. You could always not reply to it/read it I suppose.. A bit like the classic "tiered judgment system" thread I can also understand how this could be read as cliquey it isn't.. it's actually geeky so there. I think this is coming from quite a detached, observational place.. detailed analysis of the irrelevant dynamics of something essentially unimportant in most people's eyes an internet forum is just fun for a certain sort of mind. As Joeb said, he's just smashing his figurative action figures together, tis no serious commentary on anyone here's worth.

You obviously don't like conflict or want it here and that's hard to knock. But to hid behind a quite tenuous/weird motivation for critising someone's thread when someone politely disagrees with you just seems a little passive aggressive (the smilie doesn't help either).
But that's just my subjective interpretation of things.

Bring back pony~punkle~ whosiface! He was the best poster the wolfboard ever had. The rest of you can take off.
Just kidding! I looooove all of you. But I'm not kidding about him being the best poster.

See.. my position as wolfboard's resident wikipedia (wolfipedia?) has its benefits.

^ i wasn't going to reply, then i thought izzy should know why i was exalting him. you weren't going to reply? to a thread in which even your own name appears? you're an obstacle to progress, a catalyst for scarcity. you could use a dose of perspective, you proud exalting jobber. pretty weak jab at the end there, despite being topical, but we seem to be straddling the line of lightheartedness and the opposite of that. best to be safe. [for those not in the know, a jobber is a wrestler who trots out to the ring purely to be beaten by a star] also, who stickied this? a member of the blue crew about to turn heel?

I stickied this because I think 'Minority Chunk Of Florence' is the funniest thing I've read in a long time.

Joeb.. will you do a "which wrestlers would wolfboards be?" analogy, or should I? You'd do it better.
I've had more face/heel turns than any Wolfy, man.

I'm supposed to be preparing for an interview, but instead I'm reading posts on a forum arguing about posting on a forum...
Also, now I am reminiscing over Jose Mutiny. And Hephzibah. Oh, and that Laurel? girl, who always used to make me laugh out loud.
UNICORNS!!

I'd rather not be included in things I have no interest in being part of, i.e. a clique.

I'd rather not be included in things I have no interest in being part of, i.e. a clique. To restate my reply to Jay, I think you're really misinterpreting Joeb's post. "Clique" is hyperbolic language used here for comedy and clarity. Besides "friendship group" or "regular posters" would be harder to fit in the topic title.

This thread makes my brain ache, it’s a bit of a pointless argument, really for the sakes of nostalgia. But but if it’s an argument that’s going to be had I agree with whoever (sorry…can’t remember who) posted that new generation/blue corner were more open and welcoming and the older clique (obviously infiltrated now) where tighter and possibly a tad more ‘stuck up’.
What right have I to say this? I’m a random lurker, who watches everything unfold, sucking up all this information so that one day I can go ‘remember when…’ I would LIKE to be a part of ‘the New Young Wolfies’ but I really don’t see how my input is worthwhile. I wish I’d joined earlier, to be honest, back in 2007 when I first found this place, read some gig-review threads, lol-ed and buggered off.
Maybe I’m just not crazy enough. Maybe I’m not brave enough. Maybe should talk about something other than myself.
Exalts to all those in the history of Wolfboard who would rather be recognised as a troll than not at all.

Besides "friendship group" or "regular posters" would be harder to fit in the topic title. but that is not correct either, my rather anal side has to point that out. I have friends in both 'corners'; some even before I ever heard of this forum or PW. and I would like to keep them irrespective of this forum, liking of PW or not.

I have friends in both "corners" too, but I can see that this is a light and jokey thread intended to invoke nostalgia and happy mind vomit, and I'm not taking it too seriously for my own good.
