Whereas my English teacher refuses to tell us who he voted for, my history teacher today called Cameron a 'slimy git'. TEEHEE

My view of the coalition - good, well really good. The best of the LibDem policies plus th best of the Conservative ones, and politicians working together for the common good.
I will come back and comment again, but I bet most of you don't know that in the UK it's National Moth Night tonight, so I have to get my light-trap out (and get up at 5am tomorrow to bring it in). I don't kill moths, just trap them, record them, take photo of them, and then release them somewhere safe (away from birds and bats). There's a geek in all of us.

Guys...
Is this... is this a thread...
Is this a thread... about moths?
Or did I eat the Alice B Toklas brownies instead of the regular brownies again? Because I was saving those for the apocalypse.

A side effect of listening to Radio 4 virtually all day. Also, my grandfather was a moth geek, and he co-wrote a book on moths, see. Fun.

I though dawn was at 5.02am tomorrow, but that's sunrise, so I must get up just before dawn (4.17am), but can go back to bed afterwards. If I leave it later the moths will leave the trap. Back to the General Election. I think raising the tax threshold is good, although it doesn't help the poorest in our land, but think those on £50,000 shouldn't benefit. The LibDems said up to £100,000 pa. I'm pleased that Frank Field has been brought in as "poverty Czar" as long as he gets on with the job quickly. IDS also knows a great deal about poverrty and its causes.

Gaston Prior? that is so amazing. He was Belgian Awesome! Also, Lawrence and Michael, I don't get the Disney reference at all so I'll have to look it up, haha. And back to politics, here's the Theresa May resignation petition for those who haven't signed it yet: www.gopetition.co.uk/online/36217.html It's only on 20,000 at the moment (well, I say only), and the FB group has 48,000.

Brilliant! And I really hope that petition actually gets somewhere, and makes some impact on the wider media, rather than just PinkNews and sutff.

Did some rhi-search on the matter, and this is the most recent thing I could find on the subject www.leftfootforward.org/2010/01/cameron-u-turn-on-education-maintenance-allowances/and a video that won't load for me because my computer is an nob but I'm sure is very amusing. www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDqCVh4_0-gThe CD collection of teenage Josh would have much the poorer without EMA, I tells ya. Bradford was one of the areas were the scheme was tested out before becoming a nationwide thing.. and they cocked it up a bit.. meaning I didn't get any money till january of that year, and was back paid from september. I went from getting five pounds pocket money a week to having like HUNDREDS OF POUNDS in my bank account. One of the happiest days in my young life.

Five hundred pounds! You should keep that for when you go to uni'. And I was all, 'Fuck you, Mum, I'm going to HMV'(.co.uk, because I had no friends to go shopping with). Cheerio, Michael. xxx

Rhi, you'll never get EMA. Sorry There's no way in hell they'll carry it on next year - they're already scrapping the bonuses for this year. It's very very likely going to go, what with the billions of pounds in debt we are and all.
