Sorry if this has been done! Don't have time to search (should be doing an essay) but just thought it'd be cool to gather a sort of collection of all this sort of stuff, from Flight of the Conchords Bowie song to Pride & Prejudice as told through facebook and any of your favourite homages/parodies from films/tv/anything. Does anyone like those Abridged Scripts? They're still done in Total Film afaik but there's loads online as well. I was reading them here for about an hour the other night, and was literally in tears at the Pay It Forward one.

I dunno if you lot are really old enough to remember the full horrors of nu-metal.. but this is so spot on. I use to stand up and clap when it came on MTV2 back in the day.
Y'ALL DON'T KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE BEING MALE, MIDDLE CLASS AND WHITE!

Patrick Wolf's been doing a great parody of a marginally famous pop diva for a while now. You should check him out.

Ahaaa harsh but amusing.
Ooooh thanks I've been meaning to listen to Ben Folds for aggges. And that was genuinely catchy. I can see why Kate Miller-Heidke supported him.

my sense of humour seems to love stupid parody stuff, all the parody things of films etc. Adam and Joe do are fantastic, of course Chris Morris (Brass Eye, The Day Today and so on) is da king, Garth Marenghi/Man to Man with Dean Learner is good too, Look Around You (more series one) is good as well. i'd look up yootoob links but i'm feeling lazy today

^ Yes indeed! I think that's still Rhi's dp from the last time we talked about it on here. But I thought that Butterfield Direct was more relevent for it's spoofy-ness, wheras the diet is more of just a sketch. I don't know, they're all brilliant. The detective agency one, the hotel one...

I really hate spoofs of things that are so contrived and unoriginal, like a lot of current SNL stuff (with the exception of the Lonely Island because I love them). But I really love trying to find great ones from random youtubers.
Edith Wharton's Ethan Frome, MTV "reality" television-style. Very awkward, very clever, very awesome.
There Will Be Bud. Weeds jokes have potential to get old, but the technical and artistic mastery /professionalism of this makes it mind blowingly amazing. Or should I say... bong rippingly blazing.
These are so incredibly stupid and so poorly made... but somehow they makes me laugh so hard. Probably the best Harry Potter spoofs ever, in my opinion. I wish these kids would make more videos.
WAIT... I forgot to post the ultimate:
Oh god, I hurt myself laughing every time I watch this. The dancing... the beat of the music... the facial expressions... and the English translation.. its almost too much for me to handle.

That was hilarious! I love those lyric-changing things. I remember watching this in like, Year 7 and loving it. Still fairly amusing!
