Exactly what the thread title says, tell the world (ummm, at least the part of it that's on this board) about your Myspace and your new recordings. Feedback / collaborations ahoy?
I have some vague memories of one of these threads but it seems to have dissapeared... So, here's a fresh one.

ok i am posting this here now so i don't get yelled at by everyone... here is my music page! i put up some demos of some songs i am working on.... i hope it doesn't sound bad. i had to use a PC with windows sound recorder because i no longer have access to my MAC... oh well! i still want to give it a shot! (Moon Song was recorded on my MAC and i was able to use all my beats and stuff with it. Fenrir and phone demo were made using windows sound recorder) let me know what you think! www.myspace.com/xchristopherx3xx Christopher x <3

i put up some new demos. one is a cover of The Bluebell. i played it on my Bontmpi organ that i just got. it's one of the small old ones. the model is Bontempi PK11. the other demo is just me playing around with my violin. i don't even really know how to play it, i just like making sound with it. i tuned it down so it is tuned like a viola.... it doesn't sound exactly how i want. i guess i will have to buy a viola. let me know what you think!

The violin/viola one grew on me towards the end of it, but at the beginning it's rough on the ears. I'm a violinist, and I realllly don't recommend tuning it down. Also, I recommend taking lessons. A violin played badly is obvious to everyone. (To this day, I am shocked by my parents' patience as I squealed out tunes when I was first starting out.) I'm not saying that you should run off to your local Suzuki school, but get someone to teach you about bow strokes and such. I believe in learning the rules before breaking them.
The noises you make are interesting, but... a theremin is a noise instrument. A violin is a melody instrument.
(PS I am biased) (PPS I lied, a theremin can be a fantastic melody instrument)

(PS I am biased) (PPS I lied, a theremin can be a fantastic melody instrument) i wish i could find some place for lessons... and i wish i had enough money to pay for them... i can find the notes fine but i just need to learn the proper positioning (how to hold the violin, how to hold the bow, and like you said bow strokes)

If you have a college nearby, sometimes a student will be willing to do things like lessons on the cheap.

"wandering in circles, not knowing what to do wandering in circles, longing to be with you
i've gone to make a better place for us i'll be back soon, don't you worry
trying to find my place in this world i'll be home soon, don't you worry...."

i've put up two new demos on my music page.... the sound quality isn't great because it was recorded onto a tape recorder and then re-recorded onto the computer by connecting it with a wire thingy... i'm a bit tired... i don't even know what i am saying. i'm gonna go to sleep.

i have some old demo's from a myspace i used to put things on about 2 years ago. i forgot the password about a year ago though. sometimes i am out of tune, it's really just... experimental layers of singing or, really mundane stuff, not very well recorded. and not being able to record by my piano, so having to use midi, but the timing is off because my computer was sloooow. anywho, you can listen if you fancy it, they're all so old now, brings back memories. profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewProfile&friendID=8841578

You try and demean your music all too much! Sure, you have some rough edges to smooth, but you have a truly haunting voice with the melodies to match. You should continue with the demos, dear. "Apples" is lush.

Haha I know, it is a really bad habit and I can never help myself; I should just let it stand alone and speak for itself. thanks though. I will continue eventually. Peppermint stripe - I like how your stuff sounds - if it was recorded in more detail I think it would sound really great!

this is when i damn wish i had a computer capable of running garageband (ie not windows98, haha) and something more than a tape-recorder-dictaphone that i bought for doing fanzine interviews to record on, haha. when i say primitive recording methods, i mean it!

i miss my MAC computers... i used to have a MACbook, but it died two years ago... then my dad gave me one of the clunky old MACs, but that one died after a few months. then he gave me another but he had to move it to the basement, and he won't let me set it up myself. and he won't even let me touch the MACmini.... he thinks my music kills the computers.... so now i have to use tape recorders and windows sound recorder and crappy computer microphones lol.... i miss my MAC and using GarageBand....
