Well done Glee for prompting this kinda discourse says I.

Ah, yes, it must have something to do with a special alignment of the planets... I watched about thirty seconds of an episode once. Maybe I should give it a try? Well, I'll watch the Gaga episode, anyway.

Personally I wouldn't encourage anyone to go out of thier way to watch it, as I said it's disposable.. but certainly fun for what it is.

^ Totally agree with the above two posts. Also, I would point out that people who are deaf aren't barred from creating or enjoying music. Have you heard Evelyn Glennie? She's such an amazing percussionist, and she's deaf. Music isn't just about sound, but also about vibrations. Especially in a live venue, you can often feel the music; signing at gigs should be done more often, because making song lyrics accessible adds another layer of enjoyability, I imagine. edit: Grr, new page. I was referring to Josh and idreamofcherrypies' (sorry, I'm not sure of your name. Is it Cara?) posts. It is, yeah Thanks for the Evelyn reference, I hadn't heard of her and she seems really cool, judging by her website and youtube videos. And I do like stories like that, also like the blind dance teacher Jack Birkett that can still correct his pupils.

santana in bad romance. oh. em. gee.
+Glee really are wasting Idina Menzel's voice. Also, singing a song about lesbianism with your estranged biological mother after reuniting behing your gay fathers backs? Yeah, that's... something.

I watched the first two of this well it's still the first series.. (up to the Madonna one), but whatever you call this new run of episodes. I enjoyed them especially the line about about "when I hurt my knee I went to see a misogynist" (parapharsing)
I haven't got around to watching it since thouigh and everyone seems to be saying it's gone down hill already, true/false? How much Emma action? Since she's pretty much the reason watch so she can break my heart. *insert emoticon of a heart here.. possibly held together by sticky tape*
I didn't get why her not be able to have sex was such a big deal for Will, surely you can like build up to it? Sorry I've been with girls who are funny about these things and you don't just have a crisis the first time and go and having snoggings with someone else, twat.

Gaga talks such shit about her own songs, I'm starting to wonder whether that's the point. Because... what part of 'Pokerface' is about lesbianism? In what world is 'Speechless' about her Dad having a heart attack? Idina Menzel is not that good, she only got Wicked because of Rent, Stephanie J Block was robbed, etc.[/gay] Also, SPOILERS!! Not sure what to make of Glee lately. Particularly the Gaga episode, where the moral seemed to be 'be yourself! By adopting the crazy stage costumes of someone else' and 'if you emotionally manipulate your Dad into a relationship with someone's Mum just so the boy that you fancy has to come and live in your house and share you room, it's totally okay for you to act like a crazy douchebag when he, you know, gets upset about it'. Love Kurt, love his Dad - love that he's called Burt - but his storyline this season has just been... stalky-rapey, and no one seems to have noticed? Three cheers for Magic Quinn, anyway. I wonder what came first, the 'Rachel's Mom comes back' storyline or casting Idina Menzel? The likeness is uncanny. Cheerio, Michael. xxx

Re: The Idina Menzel casting... yeah. I honestly called the "Idina Menzel is totally her biological mother" bit in the pilot when we found out she was raised by two gay dads. And it wasn't just me. You can't NOT see it.
Other than that... I've stopped watching Glee, honestly. I would've done so a while ago if it wasn't a "fun with musical numbers" show. The storylines aren't that interesting any more, all the best one-liners show up on my facebook and twitter feed within minutes, and I can listen to the soundtracks separately.

I still watch Glee, but it's not as good as when it first started. Whether that's because it's actually got worse, or if the gimmick has worn off, I cannot tell. The music is still awesome, though. And I love the way Sue is always ripping Will down about his hair. XD Also, I'm shocked by the amount of people that think Don't Stop Believing was written for Glee. -__-

I almost died the other day when Artie got out of the wheelchair. I was like 'are they seriously going to go down the 'miracle' route' but luckily it was a dream.
I still like the plotlines. It was never exactly stimulating viewing, so I'm just enjoying the bizzarity (is that a word?). Looking forward to the Gaga episode!

I would probably have started fading out my watching of Glee by this point, but I'm so so excited about Gaga's episode next week, so it's safe.
