it really is just wonderful. watched all of season one last night. so cringeworthy at times, but that's what makes it so good methinks.
plus, some of the mash ups are pure genius!

I've heard of this before. Is it sort of like a musical? That's what it sounds like. I might start watching it after I finish Dollhouse.

it's a drama based on a high school choir (the glee club). If you remember the tv show Popular, the guy who created that, Ryan Murphy, is now back with Glee, except they've added in musical numbers too. rather brilliant.
the two main vids from it that i saw on youtube before i watched it are these:

I'm actually starting to dig this. Not just cos I'm proper hot for Emma's lovely pair of ... eyes (yes I can utter that sentence without irony, hurrah for "the eyes")
Really works as a double-punch combo with Skins.. pow pow pow. It's like a speedball of Teen Drama, Skins is the smack that depresses the tits off you (usually) and Glee is the coke that brings you up again afterwards.
I like the realtionship between the gay lad and his Dad, and Rachel is just a minefield of pathos. The way it handled disablity issues with Sue/the down syndrome girl and Artie in the last ep on E4 was also laudable.
It's kinda the Nirvana to Freaks and Geeks' Pixies though (check that show out if you haven't seen it)

Do you guys reckon glee is good enough that i should give it a proper try? I saw one episode the other day as it was on after skins. I wa sonly half watching it while doing other things but it didn't particularly grip me and seemed kind of like an awful amaerican teen drama...like high school musical type thing. But then I know lots of people who really like it....

I think it is good enough, yes. It seems like just another awful american teen drama, but it's basically a parody of itself. I'd give it a go watching from the beginning if I were you

I think Glee is totally disposable utterly post-modern, because of the "sitcom plotting" everyone acts in a totally stupid/bizarre way to drive the amusing/silly plots and the plot (the characters realtionships mainly) seems to shift around every episode like musical chairs with little believable continuity. So it's not something I can really invest myself in dramatically and get "really into" like I tend to do with shows, but that's fine cos it's enjoyable bubblegum, with some loveable characters and some really nice/funny moments. It makes me smile. This seems like a lot of negativtiy considering it's a show I like but I can't imagine it not getting tired after a couple of seasons, but oh well lets enjoy it while it's good.
Don't really care about the Quinn/Finn/Puck baby drama though, which seems to be the central plot. I do find it really amusing that despite being in a high school drama the actors playing Finn and Puck are OLDER THAN ME.

in terms of new seasons, the word is the whole cast is gonna be going out on tour, and there'll be a whole new set of kids coming through.
it's gonna be like a combo of drama show with american idol. which bothers me. but the first season thus far has been so good. i'm a self professed Gleek.

It's time for a Wolfboard/Glee analogy!
Who's who? I insist on being Will, cos of the whole being loved by Emma thing, and also the whole protective/encouraging older guy type thing.. and probably the sappy enthused idealism.
I think Sibz is Rachel, well when she gets into her adorable "take charge" efficient/organisational grooves.
I can't decide if Izzy is Finn or Puck but he's deffo one of them. Jake can be Kurt.
HELP OUT HERE GUYZZ.

I don't want to be a rubbish character though :/ Can I be Ken? Ok Alicia can be Emma. We can fight over her. WHICH WE OBVIOUSLY DO ALREADY. I'm not locating a Florence-like character on my analogy sensor, which is shocking as usually you remind me of a lot of fictional characters see Kitty Pyrde/Jal/Claire from Heroes etc.
