Nearly at the end of season 7. I can't quite work out 1) Why Buffy has turned into such a tosser, she totally deserved that Potential mutiny. I had really warmed to the character over season 6 as well.. I like teh angst. 2) Why Giles has turned into almost as much of a tosser 3) why everyone hates Kennedy? I reckon she's pretty rad, no Tara, but rad all the same.

Sadly I've never really been able to get into graphic novels before, but I'm hoping this will change my view. I've been watching Season 5 with my roommates, and last night's episode was 'The Body.' Most heartbreaking hour of television, y/y?

as far as favorites go, i'd say: the puppet show - really can't compare with the majority of the series but it's pretty funny. most importantly, features the first appearance of principal snyder, who, imo, challenges oz for the best quality-punchline-per-line ratio. amends - the zeppo - apocalypse as subplot is so good a new man - perhaps the funniest episode imo...this or storyteller...or maybe a different one :/ and superstar is very enjoyable. bunch more. left out some obvious ones...yeahh for you lucky people: www.megaupload.com/?d=LO4ST14Gbuffy, season 8. it's the comic that follows on from the end of the programme, and is completely canon (it's by joss whedon blah blah blah) and absolutely everyone better download this. no matter if you've already read the physical copies. the printed page is obsolete. information isn't bound up anymore. it's an entity. the only reality is virtual. if you're not jacked in, you're not alive

Finally got to Chosen today omgshfhdhsd totally awesome, best series finale me reckons (in general series 7 seemed a bit.. drab and lacking in fun, perhaps) Totally pumped with energy after watching that. Going to go and do something awesome..
I like Spike best in series 7, and Buffy best in series 6, I think that says a lot about my angst fetish.

downloaded sibz file to see how much was in it. it's just the first 8 issues, right? here's all up to issue 28 (28 is this septembers issue) they're all zipped as individual collections, best read on something like Comic Book Reader, or if you want, just unzip and go through each image on its own www.megaupload.com/?d=R5YLPVHY

YESSSSSSSSS. Thank you! I'm ashamed to say I read the first eight fifteen last night and then went looking for more. I'm totally hooked. Ooh, favorite episodes. I'd say: Storyteller -- hilarious and heartbreaking! My favorite combo. The Body -- yeah, I like crying. Fool for Love Lies My Parents Told Me And then there are a whole bunch of small scenes that just slay me... woops, sorry for the pun. Spike's "you're the one" speech to Buffy in Touched, and then when they talk about it the next day. Gah, major waterworks.

Pre-vampire William The Bloody (awful poetry) Spike might be my favorutie Buffy character, srsly. I love him.
That bit in Touched makes me kinda emo-overload as well, and "I love you,", "no you don't but thanks for saying it." Sobzzzzz.

I like Spike best in series 7, and Buffy best in series 6, I think that says a lot about my angst fetish. WHAT spike sucks in series 7, he has one good line in the whole thing. The thing is, Spike is consistently a tremendously entertaining character though out the show, but from when he fell in love with Buffy in series 5, he just stopped making sense to me. You could chalk much of his "good" actions from that point up to selfishly trying to impress Buffy, but he shows obvious humanity (in his relationship with Dawn, grieving for Joyce etc) despite lacking a soul. Which to me made the whole concept of indiscriminate vampire slaying seem.. really morally questionable. It struck me that if Spike could be so "human" maybe other vampires could too.. I dunno the fact this was never touched on or explained struck me as sloppy writing, and I don't think his reasons for loving Buffy where that well explained either. I guess I like series 7 Spike best because he starts to make sense to me. The fact he retains his love from his mother after turning vamp, lead me to theorise that Spike is to vampires what psychopaths are to humans. Like some human beings are devoid of the "normal" human qualities of empathy/conscience etc, I think the vampire flipside of this would be to have an unnatural capacity for love.. like Spike? Also when it comes to fictional characters I have a major fetish for teh angst and teh crazy, so I found newly souled Spike pretty great to watch. I think tis a "realistic" response to suddenly waking up to find you've slaughtered thousands. I just have a hard-on for, and find it easier to connect to a character when they're drowning in oceans of soppy angst. This article pretty much sums it up.. tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheWoobie (Explains my insane Cassie addiction as well, fascinating site for pop culture geeky that one.)

Yeah, that's a good point. I think it may be in one of the DVD commentaries where the writers explain that Spike's capacity to love without a soul makes him unique among vampires. Which, okay, we all know he's ~*special*~, but why should we buy that he's such a unique and beautiful snowflake?
I really like that the writers took this risk of problematizing the whole 'vampires are fundamentally evil' thing, though, even if they don't satisfyingly answer all the questions it raises. Anyway, I love Spike in the later seasons pretty much for all the angst, like Josh. I always thought Angel was rather boring, sorry to say. Plus, falling in love with Buffy when he sees her as high school freshman? More than a little creepy.

I love Buffy! I have all the dvds And I also love Spike, one of my favourite episodes must be the one where Buffy and Spike want to get married. The musical episode is brilliant too, I've got the soundtrack!

I've just finished watching from season 1 to 7 (please do note that I am just out of college on a gap year with only a shitty part time job...I have a lot of time on my hands :S) and I have to say it's just freaking utterly fantastic. I've never had to actually stop watching anything before but the episode 'The Body' ... I had to have little breaks to cry and then resume. I don't know what to do with myself now I've finished it all

^ Aww, this is adorable. Exalt. Well, you could watch Angel now, although I'm not crazy about it and don't think it's as good a show as Buffy. It has its moments, though.
I just recently watched Firefly, though, and that was amazing. Any other fans here?
