I don't find that uninteresting, I find that quite exciting. Like the time me and Liz stopped on the street on Portobello Road because we were lazy and bored and we had nothing to say, and we were hoping for something to break the silence. Then Carl Barat walked past and we followed him to the tube station.

Well it was like this. A friend and I went to a Dirty Pretty Things instore and signing, and ended up at the back of the queue to get our stuff signed. We were waiting something like two hours, so we had 'a few' drinks. When we finally got to the front, the band was pissed, we were pissed, and we basically just laughed at each other. I had a Cribs prefect badge on, and whilst speaking to Carl, he said 'ooh, The Cribs', reached out to touch the badge and 'accidentally' put his hand on my boob.

Even if he had, it wouldn't have ruined the moment.

Carl Barat kissed my friend on the cheek one time. AND WE'LL NEVER HEAR THE END OF IT.
Dirty Pretty Things are kind of boring, though that's off topic.

yes, dirty pretty things are so average that they actually run into the category of "awful" due simply to my boredom upon hearing the album kid harpoon howeer is wonderful. the first time i saw him was electric gardens last year, just because i was in the right tent at the right time. one of the few musicians i've ever seen live before listening on record and actually fallen in love with. what confuses me is kid harpoon's never broken into the wider mainstream. he has friends in all the right places and plenty of talent. not that i'm complaining, huge venues would ruin the fun

We only went to the instore because the band members are ace. Like them, don't really like their music, although I have been known to throw shapes to You Fucking Love It. I like that he's a Medway boy. I've never listened to him. Give him a listen, you might like him. He makes quite sweet folky music. He's sort of similar to Lupen Crook.

I'm seeing Kid Harpoon live tomorrow apparently. And according to my friends, I saw him at Underage too, but I can't remember much about the performance. I've downloaded some of his stuff, and I like it. But still, it’s a bit strange.

I enjoyed that story as much as I enjoy Lupen Crook. A lot.
