I noticed he didn't have his own thread, so what could possibly be a more convenient time than now? I'm listening to Night Falls Ober Kortedala non-stop at the moment, has anyone heard it yet? I'm seeing him live this Friday, and if he plays a sweet summer's night on hammer hill, I will dance the night away. So, yes, let's talk about Jens

I found a bundle of old newspaper clippings from his heyday (right about when he let go of the Rocky Dennis alias) an hour ago or so while cleaning my room. I kept them for future big laughs and hijinks.

It's all about the money really, nils?
I'm excited to see him live because he's such a showman in the non Patrick glam sort of way..
He just knows where his sources are. He's referenced and sampled some really impressive things and I do love the interview where he says that he's never listened to the Smiths.. let alone name one of the songs correctly.

I got "Night Falls..." by mail today, since I'd pre-ordered it, and just finisked listening. It's totally fantastic and amazing and... well, I don't have words enough for it. I've never been a really big fan but liked him since he released the first album... But this was far better than expected.
I'm constantly amazed at the amount of extremely limited singles and such he's been releasing. All of it listenable, verging on great. Jens also seems more like a real human being than a lot of artists these days. Let's just hope he gets the attention he deserves this time around.

I looked in the shops today to find it but with no luck, it made my day bad, or moreso than it already was.

I looked in the shops today to find it but with no luck, it made my day bad, or moreso than it already was. I thought it was only being released in one obscure country this month and the rest in October.

I just came back from my weekend-holiday in Bergen, and feel the need to ramble about the AMAZING concert I witnessed friday night. Jens was in such an incredible good mood, he couldn't stop smiling on stage, and his positive energy was contagious and the entire crowd was grinning througout the entire show. he sang beautifully, the setlist was divine( almost all the songs from Kortedala plus black cap, maple leaves, farewell song to rocky dennis and hammer hill), and his band was in top shape. he came back for a long encore, and ended the night with a swedish version of Maple leaves, which was absolutely stunning and made my heart burst with joy. to those of you who are seeing him later this year: I envy you so much. it was FANTASTICO.
