Who else likes The Books here? I've been into them for a little over a year now, and still find their music to be incredibly genius. If you don't know them: Their music is extremely experimental and unique... rather than singing in most of their songs, they insert audio clips from movies or speeches. A lot of people find it strange at first...but it's really, really beautiful stuff if you give it a try. profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=44202331

Motherless Bastard was the first song of theirs I heard, I was blown away. Its still probably my favorite song of theirs.

I remember hearing they had a multimedia element to their live shows - projections or somesuch. Maybe that was a one-off thing.
I love the Books... there's something very inspiring about listening to them. Every little collage-piece of sound is something unique in itself, something decontextualised and recycled. If you just let them pass into you, you start having thoughts. Ha. Colourful thoughts.

Some very vivid memories and emotions come back to me from the time when I listened to them on repeat to when I listen to them now.
