To a debate on popular culture, celebrity, music, and anything else that pops up via any medium of his choice, in person, online, phone, whateverzz..
I'm being more than a little tongue in cheek here as I know its almost entirely unlikely my challenge will ever get to Patrick nevermind get answered. But if he was up for it I would be willing to put my money where my mouth is and take up some of the concerns of myself and some of his other long standing, fans and ex-fans with him to his pretty cosmetics strewn face.
BRING IT FUCKING ON WOLFY.

The chicken noises made this thread.
I reckon someone should look back through the other threads, and pick out and summarise all the interesting points and challenges that people made, so if Patrick Wolf does read this (ha ha) then he can catch up on what's been goin' down.
And just because I love when stuff is summarized.

DISCUSSION POINT: Glitter is now boring. Sequins are where it's at. But when you throw sequins over yourself it doesn't stay. And it's more painful to eat.

Ah, but put on a dab of Vaseline, place on the sequins. Then set with hairspray. You can be covered in sequins in just a few moments, and they don't stay in your eyebrows for about four days. They can also be sewn onto your clothing very easily and stay on in the wash, so you're always carrying a little sparkle with you.

All valid points. Maybe a combination of both is the answer?

how do you sew them into your clothes???
i'm sequining a pair of leggings but the holes are at the centre of the sequin and i can't figure it out. so far i've been sewing up, stringing on a bead, and sewing back down, but that takes forever. plus, i have to find beads that fit over my needle but are still small and inconspicuous. i'm thinking about simply gluing them.

Yes, I have found that a combination works quite well...I also quite like the little rhinestones... how do you sew them into your clothes??? i'm sequining a pair of leggings but the holes are at the centre of the sequin and i can't figure it out. so far i've been sewing up, stringing on a bead, and sewing back down, but that takes forever. plus, i have to find beads that fit over my needle but are still small and inconspicuous. i'm thinking about simply gluing them. I would like to know the answer to this also...I have been trying to figure this out since February...I ended up just gluing them onto the shirt I was making, but now they are beginning to fall off

sewing them on you really have to do the time consuming way to sew them on properly. or you can get strings of sequins or sequins on elastic which is quicker like sewing on trimmings or ribbon.

Alright. Having made a few sewuined items I've tried a couple different things. What seems to work - Basically a backstitch through the centre hole. So...thread through material, string on sequin, go back through material on one edge of sequin, under material go back through hole, go back through material on opposite side of sequin. It does take FOREVER. I find it easiest to do the whole image/area by first only going on one side of sequin, and then doing it all over to do the backstitch part. The bead thing works alright, but I found it made the sequins really flimsy and not stay in place nicely. The shirt I made by beading in the centre has basically fallen apart and I've had to fix it multiple times.

Ah, I think sequins are cheesy, most of the time. I can't explain why, because most of the clothing I wear defines cheesiness at its worst... hah

victoria and friends!
im in my tokyo hotel listening to lucia pamela as I wake up to a sunny shibu-ya morning. I just went for a french themed set breakfast and got served a plain baguette, a boiled egg and a huge creme caramel with whipped cream... at 9 in the morning I was very confused. I hear you and the canadian gang are coming along to shepherds bush which is just fantastic.
Engaurde! I think this glitter/sequin discussion is very important and valid cultural discussion. Glitter, has been getting a little abrasive on my skin, and my old trick of hairpsray to fix the glitter has not been very good for the pores. Let us all embrace the better world of non comodegenic products and beauty routines. Perhaps, it is time to come to the sequin world. I think sequins photograph alot better dont you think? and you can sew them onto your clothes too... I used to work at a bead shop when I was 17 in covent garden that sold 15cm diameter sequins. Hardcore.
I also once had a jumper that had a huge whale made out of blue, and purple sequins. When I put the jumper in the washing machine it became a beluga whale! all white and colorless so do be careful when washing.
Do you think this a deep enough discussion for that funny child who keeps harrasing you all. Perhaps as a christmas present we should put our pennies together for him to spend the night with a sheperds bush green hooker on the night of the finale. Seems like he needs a good old rogering dont you think?
As to my absolute exhaustion the other night and the first show in ten years I have not completed beginning to end. I felt this year of 120 shows catch up with me and my body not physically be able to perform. I sing from a very deep place in my body and alot goes into my performance. All you singers will know how it can be. Im sure alot of you are aware and sympathetic to that often during touring and promotional periods one gets about five or six hours of sleep a night due to travel and promotion schedules. still... always I go on with the show. There is always something to be communicated, although I had to cut out some of the songs I thought would make an ingenuine communication. As i have stated many times, I am not interested in being a professional in the genre of jessica simpson or hanah montana. I broke a glass by accident while falling of a high stool on the way and cut my foot. I would never knowingly harm anyone of you during a performance. Sometimes I want to throw my shoes to audience as a gift.. sometimes i need to get rid of my mic stand in the way of the irritating uninvited industry cameramen. I am quite a tall heavy person so If I jump across the barrier, I am just getting over excited. I cant apologise for my weight.. I was born a giant. But i hope you appreciate my enthusiasm. I sure always appreciate yours. Thanks to the corner hotel crowd for giving me some energy to get to the end of the show!
In my current affairs. I am feeling so much love right now. I think I am Falling, Julee Cruise style. New parts of the body are coming alive. My brain tells my fingers to shut up now though. Keep it private! I hope you will find out a little about it in the next record. But all is good. I send a psychic love inspiration across keys and ethernet cables to you. Perhaps the fourth record wont be as bleak as it started to be. Who knows just yet? As to that beast. I have decided to spend the first few months of 2008 building a studio and home for myself and setting up my label properly so the record will be hopefully be a winter affair for 2008 now. The recording for the film "the edge of love" was a miracle. I got asked in the end by Angelo to record two songs for the film. Full brass band and genius lyrics from john maybury. My two songs are called "careless love" and "careless talk". I look forward to you all hearing them.
Im very much looking forward to this little sit down piano and vocal tour, back to the real real basics and then deep breath for the grand finale. For now a lovely tokyo day awaits me.
WITH BIG LOVE AND FIRE! MASH UP THE PLACE! VIVA FOREVER! DANZING! VERKA SEDUCHKA! GIRL POWER! OVER AND OUT!
go out and live it up and see what you can find!
