apparently it's not 16-21 only? its run by 16-21 year olds, and the only age restriction is 16+ my friend emailed to find out, as she was going to come anyway and try to get in, and she got this reply; 'Thanks for your interest. 16+ is the only age restriction- it would be totally fine for you to come over 21. I look forward to seeing you there!'

Possibly, I think it's quite misleading as it says 'made by and for young people' so you'd assume it is for people in the same age group. But I guess they just weren't clear enough. I'm excited for this though. I wonder how long his set will be. And on the candlelit blog, it says Patrick is coming straight from London airport from another show (or something on those lines) to play here. I didn't know there was another show? Hm. Wonder where he went.

I just got back from this. The day was all around quite interesting, lots of strange things you can do, some stuff I thought was nice, like the animation with the musical narration. Good stuff. Anyway, to Patrick. He wasn't very well, he said at the end he's in quite a lot of pain - I didn't know if he meant his throat. So he was looking a little grumpy at first and I was worried. But I thought it was a really nice little show, it was intimate which is what I wanted. His voice sounded really nice and it was fun to hear a different version of vulture on the piano. I wonder if anyone recorded it. It was very quiet and I found it embarrassing when people shouted things at him, I think even he was embarrassed, on a few occasions I could sense a bit of cringe. Me and my boyfriend really liked it, we were talking about how different the two shows were, from heaven to this. And I guess I haven't seen him before these times. But from seeing him as a huge peformer on stage, to going for it with what he can, on his instruments, is great. I didn't realise how big he was. I was at the side of the stage, and so he walked past me before he got on. And it was weird him walking past me to his boyfriend (maybe? he put his arm around him it was sweet), just felt a little surreal. But they're both really tall, I think they're a good match. I'm happy with it. I heard people not so happy, but considering he wasn't feeling his best, I really enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed today- if I had gone expecting a long set with big numbers and hadn't have had so much fun beforehand, I know I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much.
It was how I'd imagine Wind in the Wires tour to be; very intimate but everyone still enjoying themselves. There wasn't a huge amount of stage banter, but then again he wasn't well and his set was quite short. Here's the set list as I remember:
Who Will Wind in the Wires (which had the whole room gasping at the beginning!) Theseus Damaris Paris Tristan Teignmouth Vulture The Libertine
Anyway, I've had a fantastic day, learned how to chrochet, watched a shadow puppet show, had a picnic and bought a raincoat for £1.50 from the Blitz museum

£5 is a bargain though, even if the set was short. I thought he would be allowed more time though, as it said on the schedule a 'wind down' was at 7.45, and he finished way before then I swear. I liked the shadow puppet show - what was the music box thing the singer was playing from? It sounded like an accordion, I've not seen one of those before. Unless it was some kind of organ thing? Hmm. I also did some drawing... Well, I gave up because i couldn't draw with paper leaning on my knee. But I did do a drawing for that kids group thing, and stuck it on the wall, haha.

Oh yes, the drawing was fun- did you play the human fruit machine game? We got a free go because we were the first ones to play it and we won two bags of crisps. I think the grand prize was a cake.

No I didn't, I was really scared! Haha, I watched a few times, I think it's just that they were so enthusiastic I was sort of scared to 'push the button button button...'

i got a free jacket! loved the fashion recycling workshop...but then i'm going to live anything giving away free hideously wonderful clothes. chool's right, patrick was a lot more like wind in the wires. it was a nice show, lots of room for reflection. I think he said he was feeling very introspective and it came through in the whole show

I did enjoy the show a lot, he performed wonderfully especially considering. I hope he feels better again soon. I got a free dress (: I customised it so that I could take it home, then uncustomised it. I also went inside Gordon Brown's brain and fixed a lot of bad attitudes, and made two epic pictures with Liz. I hope they do do more of these, it was good fun!

Uncustomised it, haha that's good thinking. There were so many little things happening I didn't really sit down and play with the clothes, but it did look like a really sweet idea. I think the candlelit matinee like, tours to different places? But I wish they did events like that all the time at shunt (maybe they do?), it's a really good idea, a nice way to get people's work shown and a nice interactive environment. Plus I'm moving to London in September, I want more things like that.

Man that was amazing. I've only just got back from london though, since i missed the last train back and almost had to sleep in the train station/street. I especially enjoyed 'the death of flyboy' by Matthew Robins. But i thought the whole thing was wonderful. It felt like a different world. Shame he only got to do a half hour set though.

There was a little bit about the 'waiting for death' room in the map available and it mentioned a Chinese story and Beckett's Waiting for Godot. I sat in there for a bit but found the guy in the orange coat, who seemed to be part of it all, more off-putting/irritating than anything else!
Oh and Matthew Robins did another flyboy story at Twisted Christmas at the Barbican... I suspect some other people on here saw that.
