The photo is wonderful but the font looks a bit lifeless and not really part of the artwork i guess.

Oooh! I like it ! An updated Lycanthropy!
What if The Bachelor is set out the same way as Lycanthropy as well? The way it opens with a prelude and epilogue for one thing...It would be an interesting concept for his new album, at least

I love everything about it, even the font. I don't know what's wrong with it ?! It looks good on the Vulture cover methinks. xx

That Tobias Doppleganger remix was abit iffy, but the New Puritans one had me breathing in a sigh of relief when it was finished. I liked the Battle-y drum beat, but err...
If The Bachelor and the Conquerer are the two parts of Battle, do you think they'll have similar cover art. I like the contrast to Lycanthropy, but if it were used again for the Conquerer it might get abit old.
If I can remember to the many times I've looked at the Lycanthropy cover, isn't the font similar? Or maybe Paisley Caps or something. I s'pose I like that font... if it were used sparingly. Probably just a prototype?
I think Patrick looks like an androgynus manga Prince Charming, which can never be a bad thing. Also, does the cover remind anyone else of those old-school "Eye Spy" books you had as a kid?

I geniunely thought there was something wrong with my laptop for a good part of the Puritans remix.

I .... don't like it.
It looks very cheap and hastily put together. Nothing, not the font, nor the sky, nor the actual photo of Patrick, nor the stuff in the background looks like it belongs in one shot. The lute-like instrument and crazy plate/gong thing look like they've been photo-shopped in. The pink light looks like glare from a camera. Patrick doesn't even appear to be actually standing on the ground. And he looks like a blonde Ben Stiller in Tropic Thunder.
Sorry to be so negative but I've seen incredible creativity in his photo-shoots before. This looks so tacky in comparison.
EDIT - the more I look at it the more I think the crazy pink and blue lights have been superimposed over the other photo from a totally different shot. This, if it is the case, was a mistake.

I like the cover. I am so excited for this album! June needs to get here faster! Any idea if this will be on vinyl? I'm a vinyl junkie, especially when it comes to my favorite artists.

wont be overly critical on a fan board, but if that's the real artwork its one of many things really scaring me about the music and general 'look' of Patrick of late

I don't really know what to say about the cover art. I have no problems with the font, like some others have, but instead I have some problem that there is too many things to focus on in the picture. It makes you confused and you don't know what to look at.
The focus is not on Patrick, but maybe that is what they aimed for. Two things that is kind of disturbing is the purple thing that I don't understand what it is, and that it looks like Patrick is not standing on the ground.
If I knew the background story behind the cover art I think that I would appreciate it more

I have some problem that there is too many things to focus on in the picture. I feel the same. But, the text is just plopped on top. It doesn't feel like it's part of it. Ugly font, yeah.

I have been thinking, and I don't think I 'hate' the font at all, I feel like maybe I came across this way. On Lycanthropy (as a comparison) the text is on the sides, but has a black background, so it's not swallowed up by the image in the centre. I think it would be perfectly fine like that. I hope he doesn't feel bad about people not liking it though, I do actually like the photograph quite a lot, I don't find it OTT and I really like the colours.

The only thing that threw me immediately was Patrick's stance - it looks quite awkward and is confusing to look at. However, if this is the actual album cover, then no doubt Patrick sees it fit to be seen on shelves in shops. Obsessively nit-picking aesthetics makes people sound like a bunch of whining fannies.
EDIT: Also, how fucking pish is the These New Puritans remix? Are they joking? It made me want to go out into the street and lick the boots of the passers-by to get the fucking taste out of my mouth.
