So I know that Patrick has been at the arvikafestival twice I think and at Way Out West. But has he been to Sweden other times?
I have a vague memory when a friend told me years ago that she and her boyfriend had seen him.. (and it wasn't on a festival I think) so I'm wondering if he has been to Sweden other times. Or if I'm just imagine things..
And yeah, I would ask my friend this if we still were in touch, but we aren't..

He was in Stockholm 6th of May 2005. In Södra Teatern. And he performed in Gothenburg before or after that gig, can't remember which. And photo of an advertisement poster here. That's the only photo I have:/ If someone has photos/video/remembers set list please post here:) All I can remember is he began the set by singing Idumea without mic or anything. That kinda guaranteed the rest became a bit of a blur in my mind.

Oh okay thanks! Why didn't I know about him then so I could have seen him at the Södra teatern. It's great that he is performing at festivals, but I would love if he came to Sweden and just perfomed on a club or something..

Come to Helsinki next month? 23.10 in Tavastia club, Helsinki. Venue of ~700 people. It's dirt cheap to take the boat, usually it's other way around for me, always gotta travel to Stockholm to see bands:(

I just checked Viking Line site out of curiosity. In a shared cabin return Stockholm-Turku is 39,50 EUR and Stockholm-Helsinki was 95e. Those are adult prices, they seemed to have student discounts. I think the adult return Turku-Helsinki on a train is around 50e, student 25e(not sure what kind of international student cards they accept though). Posting just in case those Stockholm-Turku timetables would be more suitable, pricewise it seems pretty 50/50.

He also played in Lund about a week before I discovered him. Bah. Mejeriet, the pretty much only venue. Wind in the Wires tour type thing, probably in the days around the other 2005 gig mentioned above.

argh, just looked up the european tour and of course he isn't visiting Sweden. Patrick you know that it isn't enough that you only visit one festival in Sweden, and then just forget about us.. Yeah I'm a little bit upset right now

First time ever in Finland, this gig.
Totally came out of the blue. Because no one EVER comes here. I wouldn't be surprised if there appears some Sweden date close to it... it's beyond me how an artist could really come to perform in Finland and skip Sweden/Tallinn etc. Not that I'm complaining but that happens once after each Ice Age, more or less.

And that's good, why hasn't he been to Finland before? Well, I kind of agree with you, it isn't that hard to just come for a short visit and perform in Sweden when you are going to perform in Finland. Good that it happened for all fans in Finland then!

And that's good, why hasn't he been to Finland before? If only I knew:( It's not like he's been that much bigger in Sweden from what I've understood, especially WITW tour. But guess Finland just isn't that obvious place to go to perform, considering you gotta go over the sea and all. Yeah. This! Except usually other way around:D My favourite artists are like... Oasis. Been here once 2000, they go on every tour to Sweden(several dates). Suede... they used to visit in 90s, then a gap until the year I went to London. Saw them there many times but ofc they had to tour to Finland that year too;P Kasabian... never been here. Etc. I blame the metal music fans for making this so non- tempting market area I hope you can make it here if they're not adding a Sweden date:)

I wish that you could ask why some artist never or almost never visit some countries. It would be interesting to know their answers. I can see that it is annoying that they come to Sweden every tour and not to Finland, maybe they think that it is enough to visit Sweden? Thank you, I hope that too!

Yeah the money problem and where to live is kind of the thing that stops me to see him in Finland.
Yes I know a lot of people that like him here in Sweden, so I don't really see that as a problem why he wont come here, that there wont be a lot of people that will come..
Well well, maybe one day.

The "where to stay" problem could be solved by taking the boat that arrives in 23rd morning, and then staying up after the gig, there's some 24h places, and then one can head to the boat terminal A bit harsh but doable! I wouldn't actually mind offering a place on my floor but there's quite many people already coming to stay for the night here:o

waah, you make me want this so bad!! i don't even know if my parents would allow me.... heee Awh... you're under 18 then? (sorry if drawing conclusions here, I know one can be somewhat dependant on parents permission even after 18, especially when money is involved) The gig is 18+ and they're generally quite strict about IDs here:|

Somebody should just use their connections and make sure to book Patrick for a Stockholm show around that time. He seems to have some days to spare, and he's already in the right part of the world. Unfortunately I don't know anybody who's into that line of work, these days.
