I agree with most what you said FLorence but also Frankly cant judge his whole current Batchelor tour on that reading video either. it was clearly not his best even on this tour.

EXALT EXALT EXALT I love you Florence. Thank you I love you too. I agree with most what you said FLorence but also Frankly cant judge his whole current Batchelor tour on that reading video either. it was clearly not his best even on this tour. Yeah, this is certainly true and to be taken into consideration. Of course, there are other videos from the Bachelor tour which he might have also seen as before forming this opinion... not mentioning any specifics.

i know. his post kinda sounded he based it on the reading one. i just want to say that there have been some brilliant performances on this tour too. honest. I'm not just saying that as a blind fan who would never criticise anything he ever does.

Oh, I believe you - the Underage performance wasn't "bad" in that sense.
But he is playing mostly Bachelor songs at the moment, as far as I'm aware. So if someone didn't like that album, even the best performance wouldn't appeal to them (like it didn't to me).
edit: Also, the only two non-Bachelor songs he played at Underage (A&E and Tristan) were on electric guitar. Which was effing awful, more terrible than you could imagine. It probably would have been better if he'd just played all Bachelor, and that's saying something. So you see what I mean, about appealing to different people, no matter how technically good the performance itself is.

Why don't people like it? I thought Wind in the Wires Patrick was really boring to be honest, lol.

hmmm, i watched this at reading and i watched it on iplayer yesterday and i gotta say it does come across a bit poor on the net/tv. Though I always think he always puts a lot more effort at festivals and singing aside, performance wise it was brilliant. Especially considering: Thursday - London Friday - Leeds Saturday - Reading Sunday - France
Gotta walk in his shoes before judging.
My only complaint about the whole bachelor era would be the eyebrows.

Personal attack? And I'm a bitch because I said "Ew."!? You are nuts.
Edit: I have to continue because I find your response so funny.
I would hardly consider "Ew." a personal attack.
Someone saying "I'm so glad I didn't bother seeing him this tour" in a thread about ONE particular performance just didn't seem fair to me.
And I'm not hating on anyone for not liking this album. It doesn't make me love or hate the album any more or less.
But I find it funny that you single me out saying I was a bitch, when all I said was ONE word. Also, you assume that I'm pissed off that he/people don't LOVE The Bachelor.
Way to make WAY too many assumptions. I'm all for people having their own opinions on things and since I'm "new" here you probably don't know that. Seems to me that you're taking your frustrations out on the wrong person. Because I don't hate on anyone who doesn't like this album. Because believe me, I didn't love it at first either. In fact, I don't even love The Magic Position.
So before you go off on someone next time, perhaps you should read more than just one of their posts. And perhaps one with more than just a single word before you go off and make such a huge assumption.

Why don't people like it? I thought Wind in the Wires Patrick was really boring to be honest, lol. Why do you find Wind In The Wires boring when other people love it? Why don't you like death metal? Why does Patrick like that blonde wig? Why do I like cheese?

Oh don't worry, I was just using your rude/dismissive/bitchy/childish/pathetic one-word post as a vehicle to vent my general feelings.

Oh don't worry, I was just using your rude/dismissive/bitchy/childish/pathetic one-word post as a vehicle to vent my general feelings. Oh, you are so right. It's obviously the most rude, dismissive, bitchy and childish thing ANYONE has EVER said in the history of this forum. I'm so glad that I was able to help you vent your frustrations. Perhaps next time you won't need to attack someone for no reason. Just come back to my post and let it all go.

What if I didn't? Would responding with "Ew." be so rude and bitchy that the world might end? It just so happens that I love cheese, so I guess the world will continue to rotate.

Feel free to disagree, but I'm fairly sure that cheese, as an entity, hasn't got any feelings that could get hurt by you expressing your dislike for it. So that would be just fine.
Besides, you are supposed to say "Ew." about food. Saying it to and about a person, because of a view which they've shared, is just rude and (yes, that's right) bitchy.
If "Someone saying "I'm so glad I didn't bother seeing him this tour" in a thread about ONE particular performance just didn't seem fair to me", then why didn't you say that in your original post, instead of being nasty to the other poster and not saying anything worthwhile at all?
God, I feel like I'm disciplining a primary school child. Although, "perhaps next time you won't need to attack someone for no reason".

I still can't believe you're freaking out over "Ew." You would think that I made some horrible racist/homophobic/horrendous comment.
Funny though, I feel like I'M disciplining a primary school child. About when to grow up and stop making a big deal out of nothing.
Yawn.

Well since my original post doesn't read like a personal attack on you if anyone besides yourself reads it, and I already said "don't worry... my post was just a vehicle to vent my general feelings", and you were the one who called me "nuts" and then said you simply had to continue taking the matter further because you found my post "so funny", and then continued to be all sarcastic and blow the things I'd said out of proportion…
…I think I'm the one who should be yawning.

I think the performance was ok. I haven't seen the whole thing yet though, I have to agree with burak about judging, performing in 4 different cities 4 days in a row... And I haven't seen enough videos of WiTW era to compare...but sometimes people are in a mood for just jumping around to the music without really paying attention to whether the singer's voice is perfect, and sometimes they just want to listen to music and enjoy it and not see the singer jumping around and doing false notes. I think festivals are for having fun, therefore I wasn't bothered to see him jumping around everywhere and posing and stuff when I saw him because I had fun. But it may be different when I see him live not at a festival. It's different for everyone. I hope that made sense. I hate that gold suit but it didn't bother me when I saw him live.
Also I wanted to thank the person who uploaded the video on youtube. Thank you so much!

Some of the posts on this forum make me ashamed to be a Patrick Wolf fan.
Most of you are probably very intelligent and lovely people, but then there's always a few...
