I hate to write this, and I'm not quite sure where else to direct this because it seems that the TWIN url www.patrickwolf.com/tribewolfinternational doesn't exist anymore nor does there appear to be any contact on Patrick's website to direct this issue.
I first want to bring up the email sent out on April 21 of this year
So far I have yet to experience any of the promised items. My name wasn't on the thank you list. There have been no special events offered (though I still will go to every show Patrick plays in San Francisco). Although I don't care about the money, there has been no return on the investment. I donated 10 stocks worth (£100.00) to The Bachelor and to say the least I have been somewhat disappointed in the lack of return for such immense generosity from the community, at least here in the US.
I've been a devoted PW fan for over 5 years, seen him every time he has come to San Francisco. I thought his music was worth the investment, and I was happy to support it. I did so because I thought it would help him break away from the traditional models of the music industry, and their ancient attempts of distribution as well as the relationship they strangle between artists and fans.
The only thing that has come out of being a supporter through Bandstocks / TWIN has been the ability to purchase the deluxe edition CD, I would have hoped it would have been discounted or free copy given to me because I supported the project. So I have purchased that, I also purchased a regular copy before that to get the Spinster EP from Rough Trade, I purchased regular priced tickets to see him at Slim's. None of this seems to be breaking any of the archaic traits of Universal and the like-minded record industry. If anything it's paralleling the industry, it reminds me of Smashing Pumpkins and the audacity to release 5 different color copies of Zeitgeist in different stores with different track lists.
So if anyone has any idea who I might be able to contact regarding this I would be incredibly thankful. If not I won't be surprised, I just hope Patrick can make good on these promises, not only to me, but to everyone else who feels a little under appreciated.

Hello there,
It’s about time we sat down and really spoke to you about Bandstocks/TWIN and what it all means. We’ve put together a concise guide for you so that everything is crystal clear on two main points: what it is, and what you get.
WHAT IT IS…
Bandstocks is a unique experiment, the first of its kind. It really lowers the stage height between performer and audience and puts artists and fans in a business relationship. This means that you are not simply buying things as a passive consumer, but you are actively involved in the whole process of album production. You will share in the profits of the record. All the net revenue - that’s money made, to you and me - generated from the sales of The Bachelor (whether it’s digital downloads or hard copies like CDs) will be split as follows:
• 50% to Patrick himself
• 20% to the people who run Bandstocks
• 30% to stockholders… Yes, that’s you!
Your investment will not only go towards the physical production of the record, it will also help to make this the best Patrick Wolf record to date - and you will also be helping with the funding for making videos, providing remixes, recording b-sides, fantastic artwork, a fabulous wardrobe, producing both CDs and vinyl, marketing and promotion. You’ll be greatly aiding the huge team involved behind the scenes in putting out an album, who include, among others: lawyers, accountants, national press officers, regional press officers, marketing gurus, photographers, artwork directors, radio pluggers, TV pluggers, online pluggers, and that’s without mentioning hard working management! To cut a long story short, you’re making this release as exciting as it could possibly be. And it doesn’t stop there. If you have any ideas or contributions that you think could be helpful for us, let us know on the Wolfboard - should any be used, you’ll get full credit and special favours.
The sister site, TWIN (TribeWolfInterNational), was created for those of you that could not invest via Bandstocks because you are outside of the UK. This means that if you are a non-UK resident, you can also invest in Patrick’s album using this method! If you pay £10 to TWIN, TWIN buys one Bandstock. You still get all of the membership benefits in return, and you will also receive any profits which TWIN earns from its investment in Bandstocks after the reasonable costs of running TWIN are deducted. For more information on TWIN, please visit patrickwolf.com/tribewolfinternational.
WHAT YOU GET…
Aside from getting to help Patrick enormously and sharing in the profits made from the album, being a Bandstocker/TWINner means that you will receive the following benefits:
• an album download (if you want your download to contribute to the charts the powers that be might make us charge a small fee)
• a name credit on the album and on the Bandstocks website (if you want one)
• the right to buy a special limited edition of the album, signed by Patrick, and available only to Bandstock holders
• stockholders-only events
• special booking privileges for concerts
• exclusive merchandise offers.
We hope that this has been helpful and informative for you all. As always, don’t hesitate to ask questions or discuss anything you like about Bandstocks and the new album on the Wolfboard.
Love,
Team Wolf x
