30th of August...now I know we aren't a lot of frenchies here, but is anyone going? I'm going just for Patrick Wolf (crazy I am.......he's only playing an hour and 15 minutes...) and the other bands playing that day on that stage are unknown to me : Hindi Zahra, Veto, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, Sammy Decoster, Lilly Wood & The Prick. Does anyone know about these bands?

I'll be there too! I grabbed my tickets as soon as I heard he was playing there Still haven't heard of any of these bands, and myspace doesn't seem to work on my computer :/

Cool! I only heard Veto on myspace and it's not bad. I saw The Hypnotic Brass Ensemble at the Africa Express gig and they're quite good! They can really make the audience move . Not the type of music I usually listen to but I had a nice time. Are you going to stay at the same stage? I wanted to but when remembering last year there was always space in the front (and that was on the main stage) because everyone would leave to see other bands. But at the same time there was no space at the barrier, where I want to be.

I'll be there as well, can't miss Patrick Wolf when he's in Paris! I'm not spending all day at that stage though, there's a couple of bands that i'd like to see.

Ha, if I were going, the three bands I want to see most on the Sunday all clash to some degree (The Prodigy, Klaxons & Patrick Wolf).
However, the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble are incredible. Don't miss them!

Whaaaooou! That was the first time I saw him (and and swear it won't be the last)... He was so lovely, speaking in French... I came from Brittany only for him... well not only for him, i was also glad to see the Klaxons again, and Lilly Wood & the Prick was nice, Hindi Zahra too...(However I was disapointed bu MGMT's performence... what did you think about it?) But I was really counting the hours ... What a nice evening! ;D

same, i was a bit disappointed by MGMT's set.. and was surprised in a good way by the Klaxons
and patrick's performance was great even if too short i loved his 'comme une virgin' introduction to the magic position, i'm a big fan of madonna in the 80's - 90's, hehe hearing him speaking in french was great and fun i wished he played battle instead of damaris, and was waiting for more old songs but glad he played at least the libertine

Too short yeah. But omg it was amazing! I was next to the girl he pointed at when he asked one person to tell him how to say virgin XD. Vierge? Bitch? Haha XD. I loved his speaking in french haha XD. "Le cheval!" XD. With 2 or 3 other people we called Victoria and waved at her and she looked at us surprised and smiled and aaaah. I'm such a fangirl, sorry XD. I was at the same stage all day long (yeah, crazy but I wanted to be in the front row even if no one was at the barrier the whole day...). Lilly Wood and the Prick were quite interesting. Hindi Zahra had a nice voice, I couldn't stand Sammy Decoster, he was too serious and Veto were ok. I felt sorry for Veto because there weren't a lot of people because everyone was at the MGMT gig! I loved it when he finished Bluebells (if I'm not getting confused...) with The Stars, in french . Aaand we got a costume change...Aaaand it was just amazing. First time seeing him, front row, perfect.

Hey that's funny, you were with me and my sister when Victoria waved at us ... I think (is that you who brought Lycanthropy for an autograph?)... The set was too short, for sure, I would have liked to hear Tristan (we called for it but ... they had planned Magic Position... ok fine with me )... and to the lighthouse, Teignmouth, Wind in the Wires, and some b-sides, and some new songs (la fille pas du tout exigeante) .... the Libertine was amaziiing!!!! Happy gypsy fiddle !! LA LIBERTE! I think we've been a petty good & cheerful audience, even tough we were less numerous than the prodigy's fans.... (that's the least you can say ) We only failed at teaching him how to say a virgin in French... Dommage! (I though later - during the night because i haven't slept that much - that someone should have spelled the word : v-i-e-r-G-e (et non pas vierte lol)...

Ok, so i think the setlist was :
Kriegspiel Who Will Bluebells (- The Stars) Accident&Emergency Damaris The Bachelor The Libertine Hard Times Like a Virgin - The Magic Position
& Tristan was originally planned just after the Bachelor, but he played the Libertine instead. It was too short but it was MAGIC anyway. Hope you enjoyed it!
Oh, and what a shame we French Wolfboarders didn't meet!

Aaah no I hadn't brought Lycanthropy to sign...I was with a girl with blond short hair and another girl with brown hair...this girl behind me had a Polaroid camera and not far from me was a man with a Vulture t-shirt. Do I sound like a stalker XD? I was at the barrier anyway. During the soundcheck the blond girl I'm talking about and I sang Vulture (or Oblivion? I remember hearing both I think...) for a laugh . Um...yeah XD. Vierge is hard to say haha XD. I wanted to ask people if they were from the Wolfboard but people around us didn't seem to react when we talked about it... Idk. I'll try to upload my (crappy) pictures tomorrow! I haven't seen pictures from Le Hiboo or other photographers yet...

Thanks for the setlist! Ok, I was also next to the barrier but on the right side of the scene... Well, let's meet the next time @ le nouveau casino, French Wolfboarders !! I'd really like to go! (from now, i'll be wolf-live addicted!) My sister took lots of pictures with her "massive camera" (an English guy next to us kept saying it was massive before the show...) and some are really beautiful! And he's so cute, when he sees a camera, he models for a few seconds, looking at the lens ! (but i'm affraid i won't be able to share it with you here, for I can't even succeed to put a photo as an avatar on this forum........... )

yes he is a poser loves the camera. you need to upload the photos first on the net (flickr / photobucket etc.) and then link it here. I'm thinking about going to the paris show cos I might be near Hesdin for that weekend. does anyone know how hard it is to get from there to Paris? by train or public transport. i can get dropped of in a nearby bigget town if needed.

@ Verocs : Hesdin looks like it's not far from Arras or Lille so you can probably take the train to (or be dropped of at) one of those cities and then take the TGV (or regular train, Idk...) to Paris. Arras and Lille are well connected to Paris anyway. Who Will...omg. I was surprised he started with Who Will but it was great. I never thought I'd sing Like A Virgin but I sang along haha XD. It was hilarious that we were like, shouting french words to him so he could do his sentences XD. @ nano: Nice picture Should I upload mine here or in the pictures thread? They're not beeeeaaaautiful but you can see him xD. I'll just put them in the pictures thread.
