It totes hurts. My face isn't so lumpy right, but at one point I had a tight cluster of five on one cheek. OUCH.
Yours are barely visible! & you do not look vile, but you can pretend to be so we can be prance in vile together!

Contributing Not that bad (and not technically acne, but whatevs) but spots around lips = most painful spots EVER.

What are they if near the mouth? I'd had some very near but not on lips, and I'm quite sure it's still acne. We'll let you join the club if you want to!

Also: We can all prance while slathering montrous amounts of anti-cream on our faces. It'll be ridiculous and we'll probably fall, but it won't matter because are "VILE!" Oh wow am I ridiculous.

WOO HONOURARY ACNE I will join the prancing, but can we make sure the cream we are slathering doesn't have benzyl peroxide in? I'm allergic to that

It also might drip on our nice clothes and bleach them.
I use it at night. My pillowcases are bright yellow now.

Oh dear, that is not good! I wouldn't know, my pillowcase is brown (chocolate brown, not a disgusting poo-ey brown). I use freederm

I just went to their website, and it looks really dodgy. It tried to not let me leave. I use the stuff my dermatologist superscribes me: dapsone and benzoyl peroxide. I used to take antibiotics, but now my insurance wants to charge me $500 for a month's jar. At one point my pillowcases weren't bright yellow. edit: lolz, "superscribes." PRESCRIBES.

Ha, i read prescribes anyway! And I tried Benzyl Peroxide products for a while but they eventually made everything about a million times worse, it was horrific! Freederm's one of the only creams without it. I deffo don't want to go on antibiotics, despite them being free. It's not THAT bad, yet.

Benzoyl peroxide helps me so much, if you can believe it by looking at my current state.
Apparently the antibiotics are over $1,000 without insurance. Yeesh.
My acne started--well worsened--when I was 18. I do not understand. I've heard relatives say, "What happened to erik's beautiful skin?!"

that's when mine hit, too. i got prescribed duac 'once daily' gel which contains 1% clindamycin and 5% benzoyl peroxide. i don't use it anymore... because i don't like the way it smells and it makes my skin feel 'bitty' if that makes any sense. now i take three or four of these clear complexion herbal tablets and they do the trick. the only reason i've got a flare-up at the moment is because i stopped taking these for a number of weeks and i've been really stressed lately. luckily i do not have periods so i don't get hormonal flare-ups, just stress ones. pics of when i was 18 for reference... many lols.. (also featuring gerbil mouth, when i had an infection in my wisdom tooth) aww, baby acne.

Ayeee, thank you! Sounds worthy of checking out. They don't sell them in the US, but it's inexpensive enough that it'd be fine. (I think the total will be less than all the cremes/gels I rub on my face.) Usually tablets won't dry up skin like what you apply directly. Is that the case? I don't think I have any photos of me when my acne was the worst. I had discovered photoshop and liked to make myself feel pretty. younger erik with good skin: This was with my awful camera that was taped together at the time. Edit: Oh oh found one Delicious.

the tablets do make your skin dry initially, and mine itches a lot sometimes... but that goes within a few weeks.

This will probably sound really weird, but hey; Erik, Jay and Rhi, I think you all look... actually really lovely in those photos. Your acne does not detract from how pretty/attractive you all are. Maybe it's because often, people seem more attractive when they have visible imperfections, (or I think that, anyway), because their faces aren't a scary degree of flawlessness. Often people look just as nice when they don't have any makeup on and when their pictures haven't been edited etc. All three of you just look natural and beautiful. Although I accept that you might have a different perspective on that if you actually have to live with acne; I never have, but I'm still super paranoid about my skin, so I do empathise with that. Interesting thread, this.
