there are other bandstocks-related threads on this board but perhaps we need one just for those users experiencing problems receiving messages, for future reference when other users encounter the same issue.
1: check your bandstocks settings.- sign in.
- click 'edit profile' on the left hand side of your profile page, located beneath your picture.
- on the right hand side, check the 'subscriptions and settings' box. it should look like the screencapped version in the picture below. if not, edit your settings so that ALL options are set to 'yes'. (note: if you have a supporter profile, some of these options will not be displayed. don't worry.)
2: check your spam folder.- sometimes, our emails may get caught by your spam filter. to see if this is the case, regularly check your spam folder for anything from us.
- the only email addresses you should be receiving anything from are
lists@bloodychambermusic.com and
mailer@bandstocks.com. occasionally you may receive a message from
battalion@bandstocks.com.
- to ensure that your emails don't get sent to spam in the future, add the above email addresses to your 'whitelist' or address book.
3: email bandstocks.- you can try emailing either
support@bandstocks.com or
battalion@bandstocks.com for your query.
- if you
are emailing bandstocks with a support query, please bear in mind that the bandstocks team is quite a small one, and they are extremely busy.
it may take them a while to get back to you, but they will eventually.
- it should go without saying but if you are emailing bandstocks directly, please be polite. there's nothing worse than having someone yell at you for something that is out of your control.
4: when all else fails, contact me.- if nothing else is working out for you, i can check manually whether your email address is on our list or not. this
does not guarantee that it works perfectly, or that you're receiving anything.
- all i can do is remove you and re-add you to the list manually. this
does not guarantee that you'll receive anything from us, either. it works for some emails, and not for others. i really don't know why.
- if you want to go this route, please PM me with the
email address you signed up to bandstocks with (or the email address you used for the official mailing list, if this is your concern instead), your
bandstocks ID or a link to your
bandstocks profile and i'll take it from there.
- i will also send you the last bandstocks message/mailing list email in a PM on the board if you wish. just ask!

for those of you with similar problems with the mailing system (believe me, i know there's a lot of you out there who don't get ANYTHING from us) - sit tight. my current project is to completely overhaul and revamp the system. we're going to create a brand new one... yes, it will take some time to set up, and there probably will be niggles and problems, but overall i'm hoping it's going to be a much better affair than what we have in place currently.
