Well, I don't really know if anyone besides me and Victoria are really gonna post in this thread (there weren't many people there! any other secret Wolfboarders who were there lurking here??) but I'm gonna give you all a full account of this event 'cause it was my first Patrick show and I'm happy as pie dammit.
So first of all, LOOK ITS ME AND VICTORIA!!!
YAAAAYY!! Victoria is loverlyyy!! It was great to meet you and chat before the show!!
Victoria got a shout out from Patrick by the way, and I was like YEAHH VICTORIA!
Now about the show itself - well first off my friend got a big loogie spat on her by the guy from Jaguar Love, so that was pretty good times. Then when Plastiscines played my friend Noemie's mom got all excited because she's from France and she jumped out of her seat at the tables in the back and started screaming things at the band in French, so that was pretty good times too. And THEN while Living Things played (who I thought were the best of the opening three) the lead singer pointed at my wolf shirt and gave the thumbs up, but some of my friends got confused and thought he was actually approving my boobs. So now I'm pretending that he was approving the combination of my boobs AND wolf shirt.
And then when Patrick's band started setting up I was basically flipping out with excitement 'cause I couldn't even stand without my legs shaking so I had to sit down and wait. I was all "OMFGZ PATTY'S GEETAR! PATTY'S UKULELE! OMFG PATTY'S KEYBOARD!! IT'S LIEK A F00T IN FR0NT OF M3333 OMGZZ" and stuff like that.
And then finally his tall self kinda stumbled out from behind the curtain and it was so weird, I had like a "omg... Patrick is REAL" moment for a second. And he sat at the piano, and opened with The Messenger! Then I think he played Oblivion, then went back to the piano and treated us to a sort of medley of Bluebells and Enchanted! He also played The Bachelor, Hard Times, Who Will?, Blackdown, Battle (which was so awesome live, he bent over and got about 2 inches in front of my face while singing "VIIICTOOOOORYYYYYY"), Paris (OMGG), Pigeon Song (unexpected! But SO great!), The Libertine, Tristan, Wind in the Wires, and The Magic Position! And for the encore - WOLF SONG!!! Which was amazing because my friend Tati and I were speculating earlier what the possibilities of him playing that would be, we lucked out!! Also, I swear to god that during a lot of songs where he was playing piano he kept staring into my eyes for a really long time (and then smiling - SQUEELZZZ) and I'm surprised that I didn't have a conniption or any other sort of medical problem resulting from this.
Anyway, Patrick was really in great form last night - he was so into it and it started off kind of mellow, but those performances were really emotional and beautiful, and then he got really crazy for songs like Battle and Tristan and Hard Times. Every song was just faaantastical. And when he spoke a few times between songs it was just adorable. The whole time I was like *STARES IN AWE*. I hope he wasn't creeped out by that. BUT IT WAS LIKE BEING IN A MAGICAL MYTHICAL FAIRY FUN TIME WORLD OF BEAUTY. I think that's the best possible way to describe it, really.
Jesus, I'm sorry this is incredibly long-winded, but I warned you in the beginning - well now it's time to ENJOY SOME PICTURES!!
I like this one 'cause he's like "WHAT BITCH??"
so punk rawkk
