gee i'm bummed out... just realised that this record will be hard only at the end of the year.. I was all geared up for a July/August release - to go with the misery of receiving my exam results but it seems we will have to wait, tighten our belts and ration the crumbs of Patrick news we do receive.. On a brighter note though it is the summer so at least we can relax and tan and grumble like old men..

Thats unfortunate. Many await with baited breath! All good things come to.. and all that.

I wonder what kind of publicity Patrick will do for The Magic Position. I'd like to see him on Popworld, Jools, or something. Has Patrick ever been on tv?

Oh no, he wouldn't do that, would he?
Actually, I wouldn't mind him miming if he had this magical extravaganza of a stage performance...

Popworld is a shadow of its former self, now. Alex Zane's Simon Amstell impression is nowhere near as good as he thinks it is. 'Whoo, totes whacky, yo!'. Heathen.
To my knowledge, Patrick has never been on television, at least not in the UK. I think they're trying to get some of the bigger shows this time around, too...
I could see him fitting nicely inbetween Robbie Williams and The Outer Mongolian Throat Pipe Extravaganza on Later...
The sad fact is, there aren't that many music shows on television these days; even the music channels have become a constant rotation of Pussycat Dolls videos. It's a sad, sad situation.

^ yes the Pussycat Dolls must be blamed for pulling down the reputation of music channels the world over. But we needn't forget that they're there to make money and cater to those who watch, 12-14 year old girls who are, as my friend calls them, "prostetots." i know i shouldnt say this but i hope with all my heart it does not dissapoint.lots of artists fall down on their 2nd or 3rd releases eg the stills, the open,ed harcourt but i do have faith in patrick lets hope he doesnt sell out to the masse as so many artist and bands have before him I think you're confusing disappointment with a change of direction with the Stills. Without Feathers is a great album, it's just a lot different from Logic Will Break Your Heart. And it has a very Canadian connection, so it could be that too :/

Don't know if this has already been posted elsewhere, but i've just logged onto www.hmv.co.uk and they have 'The Magic Position' listed for release on 5th Febuary 2007.

accident and emergency is set to 9th october and MP to 5th february. Magic position sounds great, i still wonder how "the stars" is like. But most of the album is like a collection of songs heard before in concerts like theseus, get lost, magpie, abolish confusion. i still find WITW and WITW the track itself the best. yet magic position gives me hope for the 007, the year when all things gonna be cool
