by the way - just to tell you all about my plight - because i was ranting about it earlier - I don't have to run away from school - i just have to run away from my parents and thats easy - because my mum actually asked me if I minded her and a friend getting tickets to the bloomsbury date. i was very scared as she has always maintained that she didn't like patrick. hopefully she wont go throughwith it. however if anyone sees two middle aged ladies chatting about how loud the music is - don't blame me!

Hey, dancyxyz you'll be surprised to see how many not so young admirers Patrick has! And I really think it's great, that he has opened doors to a generation meddle... I remember someone reported about a gray haired lady at the Scala night. It made me smile, because apart from the obligatory identity crisis that one has to go through with the older people, there's a lot one can share with them. They can be surprisingly refreshing and original.

Grey haired lady was amazingly cool. She was in the front row and I wish she was my grandmother!
Anywho, Patrick said something about not using laptops on this album(?), or something along those lines but he didn't say he wouldn't use a synth, as was done when he played The Stars live!

Does anyone have any idea of the release date for the new album? I have been away from here for a while and suspect I have missed a lot... oooh, I love gossip!

This is from patrick's official myspace:
"The Magic Position" 2006: Bring it ON!
Many of you are wondering about the new LP "The Magic Position", which is Patrick's 3rd LP and first for new label Loog. Patrick is currently putting the finishing touches on the release and will begin mixing it with Nathanial Chan (who mixed "Wind in the Wires" next week.
We expect to release the LP in early July with a single to proceed it for mid June. These dates could change, however, we expect to confirm this info over the next weeks. This will be for the UK. Never fear though, the release will be out around the world as our label Loog has a partnership with Polydor Records in the UK and Universal worldwide. The LP could appear on indie labels in some territories, but we will update label partners and release dates as and when we get information.
In the meantime, Patrick is revamping his website for the new release and until that is running on all cylinders, most updates will be announced through this site.
A short UK tour is likely to take place in mid-late June with 5 or 6 dates. We hope to announce festival dates over the summer all over the world, but more extensive touring will take place in autumn and later in the year. And we do hope and expect this will include places like US, Canada and Australia! So for all the fans writing to this site saying "come visit us!", believe me, we intend to!
As our worldwide partners and release dates are announced, we also hope that tours and TV and radio appearances will also be announced to coincide with the releases around the world.
Thanks for all your support and patience. I think you're going to love the results!

this is my first post in a while... sounds stalkerish but i was just surfing myspace and i came across patrick's sister - strange little message from Patrick down the bottom..
"dear jesus i hope that praying works so I am no longer with child"
odd huh? just thought i might add it in on this thread seeing as it is actually really irrelevant and quite weird of me to do it

About Patricks older admirers.. Im 33, but I have an alibi.. my 17yo buddy Kirsty who switched me on to Wolf. His originality reminds of another polymath, Todd Rundgren.. albeit the style is different from TR. Some say the Zutons are original.. They gotta hear PW then!

just to clear things up, TeamWolf run the site, but as Patrick posts blogs, it's reasonable to assume that he posts comments to his sister. He does SEE the site, but he doesn't look at it regularly. We have written that it's run by us because
1. there were tons of imposters pretending to be Patrick
and
2. so that his fans didn't clog up the inbox with letters to Patrick expecting that he would reply to them. Because I would say he replies to about .5% of any mail he's ever received so people would in fact be wasting a helluva lot of time. And he doesn't read all the comments, messages on a routine basis. He really doesn't have the time. He gets plenty anyway. If we hadn't written that, I can only imagine how many more people would send in vain that he'd reply to them.
He did select the top 8 tho.
