It was AMAZING! Never been to a gig quite like it. I made the mistake of going on my own, so didn't really get involved with the dancing crowd at the front but I was at the back, bopping away like a thing possessed, hehe. Peter Pan just sent shivers up my spine and all "The Bachelor" material (some of it I was hearing for the first time) was great. I'd never heard Wind in the Wires given so much energy. Maybe it's wrong of me but i actually prefer Accident and Emergency with the guitar.
I could go on about it all day, hehe. All said, a truly awesome night.

I don't re-call it. but lord what a gig, lets just say I would have LOVED to be that palm tree at the right .

I was standing right by the palm tree n my friend gave him a hand up to the ledge. I wanted to steal his shoe but I resisted :-p my friend had never heard of patrick before but after that gig she was buzzin she loved it. It was beautiful it was electric I was standin on the table from Tristan onwards I think haha. So much fun

I had a pretty damn fantastic time! The new material sounded amazing, as did the updates of some of the older songs. I was also pretty near the front, so he walked pretty much past me after all his climbing antics during Battle. He also seemed really on form, which I was glad to see - last time he was in glasgow he really didn't seem a happy bunny at all.
My only regret is that we didnt really get any of Lycanthropy (I'm not counting the small bit of Peter Pan). Oh, and that I didn't go to the listening party afterwards. Anyone go to that?

No, i missed that too, only heard about it earlier today. Yeah, I picked up on that too, I figured there's be more of Lycanthropy in there, it seems a more obvoius choice for uptempo, dancy music. Still, it worked anyway.

See, I had a bit of a melancholy moment before the Glasgow gig, when I realised for the first time in a long time that I was going to a Patrick Wolf gig without knowing anybody else who was going. Damn you, incompetent Scottish Wolfboarders, for not being in touch!
I think I say this after every Patrick gig, but... I think it's the best I've ever seen him. The new versions of the old songs were amazing, the new songs exciting to hear, and his energy and vitality was at it's peak. Just a very energised gig.
And the kids down by the right of the stage - Patrick's left - with the balloons? Fucking awesome, I was well annoyed at the camera guys for pushing past them.

Really, the camera guys pushed them around? I didn't see that, that's sucks. Next time there's a Glasgow show we'll have to make a point of grouping together in the name of Wolfboard! Hehe.

I thought it was so good! Couldn't believe the queue beforehand as well. Doe anyone have any photos/videos from it by any chance? I took a few but they were pretty poor due to being at the front and no flash being allowed. X

Agreed. Amaze. Shame the sound in Classic Grand is so aweful, annoyed me during the quieter songs. Stood up the back on the platform so got a perfect view. I wasn't sure about "battle" (saw him in london too, now sure i dobn't like it, sorry) but all the other new stuff was awesome.

Umm, I did see you and your friend actually, hehe, she stood next to me for a minute or two. I was the guy looking awkward with long dark hair and the jumper tied round his waist because, like a fool, he hadn't anticipated the heat! i68.photobucket.com/albums/i9/randy-pan/halloweenagain.jpg'tis me! admittedly not a great picture, but the only one I've got with my hair close to what it is now. Note: I'm not the hip hop clown on the background!

It was my first time seeing Patrick Wolf too, and I wasn't disappointed-I'm so glad he played Count of Casualty! It was good to hear The Libertine and Tristan as well. ohwhatafiasco, I do have a pretty decent video of Count of Casualty, but as I am rubbish when it comes to uploading etc, it's staying on my camera for now. This makes me very sad I'll post a link when it gets sorted though, it's pretty good quality sound and pic-wise! Best part of the night? TOUCHING PATRICK. My life may quite possibly be complete.

Incidentally, were you the person/did you see the person who ran their hand up Patrick's leg? I saw that and was incredibly jealous. At least you didn't semi-slap him like my friend did
