Bare in mind this is no biggie. Please don't get worked up.
But I think it's lame and played out now. Especially since like EVERYONE is jumping on the bandwagon. It all makes it seem pretty unfair considering how I was given so much stick for using the board as my own "private playground" and making exclusive injokes back in ye old wolfboard days. I dunno its less notable now cos the board is bigger and the groups making the injokes is larger.
This isn't personal, I wasn't really a fan of the Sophie/Meryl/Melba username switch either and you know how much I dig those girlz. I can see the appeal of doing these things and I know peoples intentions are pure, but I think to a new comer, a semi-new comer or a more casual poster this stuff might be confusing and alienating. I mean I can't even read the board these days without being all like erm Sexfield? Melba throwing her shoe at people? Flirting with the forum? What!? and I speak to and have a decent e-friendship with loads of people on here, so I imagine it's baffling to a noob.

Okay, I'm not getting worked up but you've chucked around just as many in-jokes in recent times, Josh. Thing is, when you have an in-joke you actually point it out. Which is pretty bad, seems like your basically saying "party. you're not invited" (not even like i wanna be a part of your stoopid jokes). And this "in-joke" isn't really that. Just thought we'd try it. And anyone else who wanted to help me garner some karma (say those 3 words a few times, its awesome - garner some karma - garner some karma) is welcome to. I think it was actively encouraged, actually.

I can't remember posting anything for a long time that I haven't aimed to make exclusive to the majority here. But I'm certain I have yeah, so consider this thread not some sort of rebuke which of course I have no authority to give. Just something to think about.

Mainly out of embarrassment cos I feel inconsiderate making them.

I'm not gonna find an example but the words "a little in-joke between me and michael" has been used. I'm not bothered either way, though, to be honest. I'm not adverse to in jokes if im a part of them or not.

I'm not adverse to in jokes if im a part of them or not. Well in that case I believe Michael jokingly said I was whining for something to be done on the forum which was a friendly jokey remark and people assumed I actually WAS whining to Micheal for said thing to be done. So making reference to it as a private joke served a purpose.

I know what you're saying; there's so much drama in the LBC.

Joshua, i know what you're saying.. but why are you letting it get to you? Oh it's not getting to me, it's not a big deal. I just thought it could do with being addressed, and for various reasons (both positive and negative ones!) lets fact it, I'm the only one whos going to address it. I don't know, I'm never been one to blindly go along with a group, even if I like everyone in the group. Joshua=Not a team player.

Play a few songs behind the drama and have lots of shots of everyone brooding and this forum could become the next hit show!

So making reference to it as a private joke served a purpose. I'm still not convinced. But like quite a few things, if you genuinely wanted to come across in a certain way you would've been more tactful about it. But like I said, in-jokes don't bother me in the slightest and I don't think my karma scheme is a good example of one anyway...

If you people honestly think this is drama, you have had seriously sheltered lives.
Hell, this doesn't even qualify as internetz drama, so I'm assuming you've had sheltered internetz lives as well.

The exalting isn't meant to be taken personally, and sometimes in-jokes are better left between the in-people. I understand that.
