Why does this song not have a thread yet?
Probably my favourite song, possibly ever. To me it's about how you can be in a place as crowded as London, and still feel alone. Trying to be invisible in crowds. Knowing that you have to get away from something despite loving it. So much, and I'm not sure whether it's actually there or if I'm trying to find it within a song..
As cliche as it sounds, it reminds me of when I was a bit younger and going through some nasty stuff, walking along Southbank at night and looking at the Thames.
Thoughts? Before I go on, and become even more poncey.

Definitely underrated & scarcely ever mentioned. The string section at the end (dah dah daaaahhhh dadadaahhhh da daaahhhh) mingling with the chopped-up Big Ben is one of the best things ever. I have listened many times on my way into and out of the city, being mournful. GOOD ON YOU FOR MENTIONING IT!

Indeed, when he breaks into 'I will be gone by morning my dear friend i lost our fight' it feels so sorrowful. Listening on it on your way out of London...it helps when my depression hits.
That was badly phrased...but it is a beautiful and haunting song.

yeah it's a damn good song and probably the best from Lycanthropy. I think it's meant to be about considering suicide.

when i first heard this song and realised the the familiar sound of the bell at intro part, i thought "OMFG WHAT A GENIUS." also i love the order of the song, from London to Paris.

It always reminds me of how I felt on my last night in London last time I was there, when I went for a long walk from Big Ben along the Thames with no-one else around. Such a beatiful song, captures the atmosphere of that perfectly.
