Why do people view "rambly" in literature as a bad thing? haha.
Plots are for pussies.

My attention span is too short for that book I have to read every sentence at least 3 times or I forget what happened. I never get farther than two pages in; a shame because it seems like it'd be a good read! I don't have time for any books, anyway. Fuckin' exams.

I don't have time for any books, anyway. Fuckin' exams. In the same situation. If only I had much time.. I would read all books in my library, really. Also watch more good movies.. Ergh...

It's really interesting and it makes me think.
I hate having exams too, for the same reasons. I just need a little time to do the things that I want to do.

I love the song, and the book, and lighthouses.
Honestly, the book was hard to read when I first started it. Then I came back to it a few months later after reading other things intensively, and To the Lighthouse read like a breeze.
She is brilliant at characterization...and writing..and all..

'To The Lighthouse' took me absolutely forever to read. Seriously, two months is really pushing it at my reading speed. I absolutely loved it! It isn't as good as 'Mrs Dalloway' or even 'Orlando', but it is a classic and totally deserving of that title. To get Woolf, you have to read between the lines. It's about more than just a bunch of people staying at a house.

I'v just started reading the book (mostly because i loved the song so much and wanted an...interesting book to read) And so far i'm finding it...tolerable, although i think im missing loads of any sort of plot that there might be. I mean, i forget who each character is at the end of every page but sometimes i do find their thoughts quite interesting. I'm deterimed to plough through it just so i can say i'v read it though

I read it couple of years ago (purely because of the song!). It was better than i expected (ie i managed to pay finish it without getting bored) but i wouldn't say i enjoyed it. I kept waiting to get to a part where i'd realise "oh that's what the song's about" but that never happened. I don't know if it just went over my head or if the song's more about Virginia Woolf than about the book.

I have no idea where the song comes into it. I'm not even sure if it does. To be honest i got more information of the blurb on the back of the book than i have done so far.. Something about them finally going to the lighthouse at the end i think?
