Peter Cook is, as Stephen Fry put it, "The funniest man ever to draw breath". This is maximum truth, to be honest.
Just YouTube the Derek and Clive stuff. It's without a doubt the funniest improvised comedy you could possibly see. I mean... they manage to make swearing in itself really hilarious. As well as managing to rhyme "plankton" and "wanked on" in an improvised "Whales National Anthem". I don't know why I hadn't seen this stuff earlier...

Did you ever see Not Only, But Always? Rhys Ifans was excellent as Cook.
I am sorry to admit I have seen/heard but a few Derek and Clive sketches, ergo I shall expand my viewing pleasure now. Squatter And The Ant was a bit special.

Theres a fair dew on YouTube. It's all big laughs and hijinks. Peter Cook was so much funnier than Dudley Moore. Dudley just spends most of the time sat there laughing while Peter takes the piss out of his mother.
