What does that do? I don't have iTunes.

It copies all your songs into one folder and sorts out all the tags and everything for you. RUIN

eww. I'll stick to my simple Winamp.

Does that mean you have two copies of every song you have...?
Winamp decided it hated me and would die a fiery death every time I tried to play a song. Now I use Windows Media Player. It does the job, at least.

Yeah, but then you can delete all the others and make everything super tidy like...

That seems inconvenient. Silly iTunes. Taking up all that space, and ruining fun. I don't see the upside to this.

You can do it manually too though, and I have to say, I'd take itunes over wmp any day!

External hard drives make me CRY. Like, when I put everything ever on mine, because I couldn't fit it on my laptop anymore. And then, and then it BROKE. AND I LOST ALL MY DOCUMENTS AND PICTURES AND MUSIC AND MOVIES AND oh my, it makes me so sad.

I'm so confused.. why do you need to tag them?

Thats the data that comes up on your media player. The info for song name, album, artist, genre etc...

I'm so confused.. why do you need to tag them? I obsessively tag song files so that they scrobble correctly on last.fm. I don't want people thinking I listen to Unknown Artist - "Track 01" all the time.

Oooh. LOL. Why not? Unknown Artist is my favourite ever.
I suppose all that data is already there on my music, so I just wondered why you would actually have to do it yourself..
