I can't stand dryly grating sounds, like the sound of the paper on erasers being rubbed against the paper you're writing on.

I have a fear of learning to drive next year. I don't want to do it. I AM GOING TO CRASH AND DIE.
I am also so directionally challenged, that I am going to have to be on my cell phone with my mother the entire time, asking which roads I have to take to get to the mall, and then the same for driving back home.

Being on the phone when driving is a sure way to improve safety...

Exalted, Christina, because I have an unbelievable fear of learning to drive. I could start lessons in November, but I don't want to.

Hahaha. I know. It's also illegal where I live. And my mother got a ticket for it. Not to worry, I shall either buy a nerdtastic headset device, or just make my parents write directions down all the time.

I used to be afraid of driving. Now it is absolutely fantastic! I'm scared of learning to drive. I've had too many dreams where I've been behind the wheel of a lorry about to crash. And also learning to drive = being forced to be the designated driver = not much fun at all.

And also learning to drive = being forced to be the designated driver = not much fun at all. I guess learning was actually the boring stuff. Once you have the licence and rides alone, listening to your own music.....on a preferably quite empty road I'll admit....it's great. Designated driver is both good and bad. Of course. But it is possible to have fun while being one, though it requires more work and a sunnier mind.

you should get a gps system. they're nice and handy dandy. have you seen that commercial? where the gps was wrong and made the person run into the building? also, have fun learning to drive christina! i shall never learn. i dislike cars, they make me carsick, and i saw a car flip so, yes. no driving for me. and constantly having dreams about being in car crashes doesn't help the situation much either.

Just watch out for left turns at busy intersections.
That is how I totaled my car last summer. I swear the driver that hit me was on her cell phone! But nope, I get the points on my license.

I have a phobia of coming onto this forum during midday. I prefer coming here midnight my time and waiting 'til everyone else stumbles in. I'll go days without being on the forum if I sleep at a normal bedtime.
(hint: i'm never fashionably late)

Caramel? that's a new one. So, I am scared of... nuclear war (which is a bit pointless, living in central london, if anyone was gonna nuke England I wouldn't live long enough to be aware of it). SPIDERS on a serious flex, pretty much anything with more legs than me to be honest, they're all creepy bastards.
Then there's the various things which aren't phobias, but I get freaked out by. That is a pretty long list..
Oh! and moving machinery. I put this down to an X-Files episode called "The Ghost In The Machine" that my dad let me watch when I was nine, even though it was rated 15. Tsk.

Tsk. I saw this ridiculous movie a little while ago called The Machinist. Don't watch it. As for phobias, I am very frightened by driving through tight spaces. I erupt in violent shivers every time I am forced to do so.

I refuse to drive in the left lane of a highway if there is a concrete barrier next to it. That's not exactly a tight space. But I feel terribly closed in whenever I have to do it.
