If you keep posting pictures some one is going to steal your dog! Too much cuteness in one little package.

I have a cat named Have-A-Cookie. She looks rather large there, but she was only 3lbs, a little smaller. Marlboro's aren't mine. Gross. She's dead now, but I still say I have a cat. I have a dog, but she lives in the States with my mum.

This is my mate Marmite/Marmadillo/Dillo. She really is a dosy dill. And this is Scout who was put to sleep by my horrid step father, but me and Dillo miss her heaps! Could this be where Patricks WITW hair inspiration came from?

I want to get a kitty.. and the one I want is a kitten... but I am afraid it will shred the new furniture and pee on things. Is it easy to train them?

You don't have to train cats to pee in litter boxes, it's a natural habit. You just set one up, point it out to it and say something like "pee in here!" and then they go. Although shredding the furniture can be hard. It depends on the cat though, some don't shred at all (like my darling, but he has a taste for electrical wires) and some tear everything to bits (like my friends cat, they had to put plastic wrap on everything at first). Get to know the cat's habits before you buy it.

Water guns work. Or bubble machines.
Also, you can teach them not to bite and scratch by telling them "If you bite and scratch me, I bite and scratch you!" My kitty doesn't bite or scratch me, now. Just everyone else.

Nothing gets me cat scared. Wave a plastic bag at her, she jumps in and stays there for hours, throw water, she has a nice little drinky. Blow bubbles? She gets them in her eyes from trying to eat them and occasionally has foam in her mouth from them.
But cats are dead simple to have, buy a scratch post and hopefully, they'll use it instead of the furniture.

Yeah I was going to suggest a scratch post.
When my dog was a puppy and we wanted him to behave we'd fill an empty soda can with coins and shake it. The loud sound would scare him haha.

Scratching posts work. Cats scratch because they need to get rid of parts of their claws. I think they shed? Anyways, my cat doesn't scratch anything so he has to get them removed.
My cat is terrified of me, but nothing else. He won't come near me when I have nail polish on or high heels. hehe!

if you wave a plastic bag at my cat when she's scratching the furniture, she goes mental and runs away hahaha We have this weird thing in our house that I like to describe as a "tribal wind instrument", basically it's this long orange tube that makes spacecraft noises when you twirl it around. We've trained my bunny to go back into his cage by twirling it and chasing him with it. Sometimes he hops right back in just when he first hears it, hahaha. And yes Jam that is quite possible since Bunny is 2 years old. Maybe Patrick made a pit stop at the pet store on his way to the hairdresser...

When I had ferrets, if you squeezed a squeaky toy they'd come out wherever they were and bite your feet. Hard. And my ferrets only nipped when playing. Crazythings.
