well seing some people such as melba toast have nice tattoos, i'd like to see more so please do share.. (hope there wasn't a topic for that already) here are mines in the chronological order i had them: on my back oldschool tattoo: sparrows holding ribbon saying "join the resistance, fall in love" (from usa - 2003) can see a bit on this (yeah i wear a patrick wolf wind in the wires tshirt, hehe) then a dragonfly w/ skull head on my arm (bordeaux, fr - 2004) then on my ankle a star (bordeaux, fr - 2004) then a falling bird on my leg (toulouse, fr - early 2006) then a diamond and a heart inside my arms (toulouse, fr - dec 2006) then a ribbon on my arm (barcelona, sp - may 2007) then a tooth on my foot (paris, fr - june 2007) oh and does any of you have a tattoo somehow related to patrick wolf? i was thinking of maybe getting some of his lyrics tattooed..

I think there was a thread but it was lost in the community room fires... my friend's hairy arm is in the photo too! haha I have three other pieces but no photos of them... EDIT: you could actually see two of them in the first photo, the x on my chest, and the cats with wings...which is from a godspeed record.

I love those birds on your back candelia!
Today I was thinking about what I would get if I were to get a tattoo, and I settled on a two doves with a ribbon that reads, "(Venias precamur) Erycina ridens, quam Iocus circum volat et Cupido." Translated as "Glad Venus of Erycina, (we pray You may come), with Laughter and Cupid attending." I'd need to get someone to check the Latin, as well as sit on the idea for a few months.

Candelia, your ink is gorgeous! I particularly love your tooth on your foot, it's beautifully and simply stunning. I don't have any tattoos as of yet, but I do have a scarification that I did at home. I have no photos of the finished product, but you can see a photo of the first stage (with all the gnarly scars from a rejected navel piercing) here. My boyfriend is getting a Smiths lyric tattooed across his arm ( Does the body rule the mind or does the mind rule the body?), and I think I'm having one done across my ribcage, under my breasts ( Pin and mount me like a butterfly). I really like word tattoos, something about them just really attracts me.

I'm not sure about word tattoos. I think they're really hard to pull off, but I have thought about getting some of the Magic Position lyrics incorporated into a tattoo somehow...
I have one tattoo of a heart on my hipbone. I did it myself when I was 14.

I really want a tattoo, all of my friends seem to be getting them done illegally at 16. I was thinking about gettting a flamingo or a giraffe and maybe some Patrick Wolf lyrics.

My boyfriend is getting a Smiths lyric tattooed across his arm ( Does the body rule the mind or does the mind rule the body?) Uh oh! It's the cliche police! Apologies. But text in tattoos - particular lyrics, or Renaissance poetry - is so frequently awful, yet so many people seem to think they might be able to pull it off. Boggles the mind. Cheerio, Michael. xxx

I want the lyrics for Break Stuff by Limp Bizkit tattooed on my chest.
Hey! Tattoo loving folk often say they get tats as their bodies are their canvasses so I might as well make mine a canvas for lame post modern irony.. very 00's.

like this: ?? I think I posted that last time. I'm so predictable. I don't have any tattoos, but I'd like one either on the side of my collarbone/shoulder, or on my wrist. Probably birds. Bird tattoos are amazing. oh yeah, I agree with sibz - word tattoos are pretty hard to pull off, and i'd be worried i'd become disillusioned with the band/artist/lyric at some point. There are some lyrics that i'd consider though.

Well, that wasn't really a tattoo I have....But I want it, and I want it on my wrist. When I'm turning 18, I will tattoo it

Ugh. Please think long and hard before getting something Harry Potter-related permanently attached to your body. It's not like the brand isn't spraying its scent over every marketable product in the universe already.
