I know I'm risking my life saying this on this board, but hey... I'm disappointed that Patrick is supporting Bloc Party. I dislike them.

I agree, obsequy. I don't like them at all. He could have supported a much better band.

I'm disappointed that Patrick is supporting Bloc Party. I dislike them. Whether you like them or not, Bloc Party are going to be 'This Year's Franz Ferdinand' (who Patrick also supported, around the same time as the 'Darts of Pleasure' single was released) - I'm sure the shows Patrick is opening for them are sold out already, and their going to have a lot of eyes on them, so it can only be a good thing if some of those eyes are also on Patrick... The few songs I've heard from Bloc Party haven't really set my world alight, but I like their lead singer, they give good interview, and they're a hell of a lot easier on the eye than The Others, so if the music press is going to inflict anyone on us I'd much prefer it to be them. Cheerio, Michael. xxx

Cheerio, Michael. xxx Oh, I agree that the publicity for Patrick is good. But to be honest that's the only thing I like about them. Why can't "The Next Big Thing" ever be something really new and interesting? It's a shame they all seem to be pretty similar. Bugger them. Jx

That's what I'm afraid of. I'm not sure if I care for Bloc Party, all I know is they're pretty addicting. Edit: And here are the dates Patrick's playing with Bloc Party (I think they're correct): 16 October - NOTTINGHAM, Rock City 17 October - LIVERPOOL, Royal Court 18 October - LEEDS, University 20 October - MANCHESTER, Apollo 21 October - MANCHESTER, Apollo 22 October - LEICSTER, De Montfort Hall 24 October - CARDIFF, University 25 October - BRISTOL, Academy 26 October - EXETER, University 28 October - LONDON, Brixton Academy 29 October - LONDON, Brixton Academy

All these fabulous bands that tour around in Europe (mostly Patrick) and I get stuck in the mid-west of the US, where the next big concert is going to be, wait for it... Sum 41
