... or so. This was meant to be a friendly howling. But I think, the wolf is much better in howling than me, so I leave it to him.
Nice to meet you. I'm from Germany and Patrick is my hero since around the 20th or 21th of February, because my very first thread in a music-forum on patrick was started on 22th of February. Reason for this was finding Patricks "the libertine" on a very good Promo-CD around with interesting guys like Andrew Bird and Lou Barlow in the musikexpress, a german magazine on music, and wanting to know whether it was worthwhile to order Patrick's album. Unfortunately I got not much help there. Anyway I gave Patrick a chance and it took six weeks 'til my CD-Dealer managed to get the Album for me. I can tell you, it was worthwhile to have such patience. And btw, it was also worthwhile to get Lycanthropy. Within shortest time Patrick belonged to my alltime-favorite musicans, I hardely believe, this is happening. Last week I went to his Nuernberg-Concert, which I enjoyed so much and which made me feel extraordinary good at least for the next following two days.

Welcome to the messageboard, Lelia!
I think there are a lot of people on this messageboard who joined up only a short while after hearing Patrick's music - he tends to have that kind of effect on people!

@ michael Thanx a lot for your welcome.
I'm so grateful that Patrick's music somehow "happend" to me in February. The composer Robert Schumann once said a lovely sentence: "The job of an artist is to send light into the depth in the human heart." And I can tell you, Patrick belongs to that rare kind of very precious artists.
BTW, it's a bit difficult for me to express in englisch what even is hard for me to say in my motherlanguage, because I'm emotionally so thrilled by Patrick's depth and the amount of his artistic talents. So if it turns out to be nonsense for you, I hope you will forgive me in this forum.

Its not nonsense at all! Beautifully said in fact - i love that quate, and completely agree that Patrick is indeed in a group of very rare, inspiring, and honest musicians and songwriters.
Welcome to the board!

Did anyone from Germany or elsewhere saw him last year on the Wellenbrecher-Festival? It was outside, it was cold, few people there and I was completely stunned, and lost, since then. But happily lost. and I was so surprised by his concert in Schorndorf...Half an hour afterwards I was still unable to speak properly ( I sounded as if I would be completely drunk) and I was constantly falling from one side to the other. I hope, that that will happen far more often..hm, maybe better, if not.

Heh, what a coincidence. I was standing right in front of the piano, just staring at him (couldm't help it.) Were you the one with the The-Faint T-Shirt? I didn't care about the audience, though...If you drive three hours to a concert and you shouldn't care about the audience. Well, you never should...
