the only way for me to get patricks lovely music is from a record store in san francisco and i remember when i went there with my friend jendolyn to finally get the wind in the wires single and i had only heard the aoustic version and we just played it and tears ignited! it was beautiful!

this is without a doubt my favourite.. i dread to think of the times i have shouted godrevy point at him (oxford, xfm and union chapel) BUT he won't fucking play it.. so next time i see him I'm going to go find him at the end and torture him until he plays it to me

The version of this from the Marc (Mark? Marc? IDK! I have two files on my computer for some reason and they fuck up my last.fm stats ) Riley session is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever performed, hands down. No, okay.. but, in my ears. Seriously. I love it so much. I don't know why it's so dear to me, but that makes it all the more special, I suppose. When he goes, 'down byy the fooot of the cliff..' aaaah the shivers! That whole verse, actually, does something to me. Oh.

Ah it's fantastic. It's just such a perfect mellow song. I don't know why I haven't heard it anywhere else. It's just...rhughgfdf. I actually cannot articulate it in a way that will seem completely deserving.

I always type Godrevy Point as Gravy Point first time around. Anyway. This song is lovely. It's definitely one of my favourite songs, because I can really relate to it, I mean, who doesn't love going down to the shore?

Def my favourite B side by Patrick. Such a beautiful song. I thought people might be interested...the outro of the song is from Christopher Smart, Jubilate Agno... "For at that time malignity ceases and the devils themselves are at peace. For this time is perceptible to man by a remarkable stillness and serenity of soul" Thank you!! I was going to ask what it was, but thought I'd read the rest of the thread first in case it'd been posted.

This is one of my favourites songs! I heard it again and again. I love it. A stupid question... what's the correct pronunciaton?? I used to always pronounce it (the American way, I guess) like God-vree Point. But when I went to visit it a few weeks ago I asked a clerk at a grocery store for directions, and he got really confused. Then he realized I meant Goh-dree-vee Point. That is how it is really pronounced I felt idiotic for being so in love with this song/place and not even pronouncing it correctly, haha. And, I might add, visiting it was so fulfilling. It was gorgeous. All of Cornwall was, really. *Reminisces*.
