I've been reading about two early songs ... "Eustacia" and "Rite Of Spring" forever now..
Has anybody here heard them?
& What about "Prince April" ...? (Played June 15:th 2004 at the ICA)
And are there any live recordings of them out there...?

Eustacia and Rite of Spring were mentionned *ages* ago when the Wolfsite was all black and white. I think it was one of the first Wolf gigs if that helps.
Prince April was played at the ICA and he said it was tied to a book for children he was working on... unless I'm thinking of Madonna or something.
I'd be amazed if there were recordings of the first two but you might have some luck with Prince April.

Thank you loads. ;D Do you think it would be possible to put up a website with stuff like this...? Lyrics, info and so on... I know live shows and videos and some pics are up on wolf's Lair, but there seems to be space for a site with information... I don't want to make a mess of things and get hanged for publishing copyrighted material either. /t

for those of you courageous enough or interrested to read it all, here is a link to the archive of the old Patrick Wolf website. Goes back to the release of the EP. I guess the songs and event you're all relating to must be prior to all this and/or information from interviews: web.archive.org/web/20060209033752/www.patrickwolf.com/anchor.htmlWow- the old site is still up? I thought it had been taken down a long time ago- Good to know it still exists as an archive though (thanks for the link Anne). On those two forgotten relics of Lycanthropy; You have just jogged my memory on what I was meant to ask Patrick at the Union Chapel..........! I was going to ask him if there we're any demo's or home recordings of these songs, since I'm really rather fascinated with their mystery. So I plead with all the people of the Board for this one request: Can you ask Patrick, whenever/wherever you meet him about these two songs- and pressure him into recordings them. I'm sure if we get enough people to 'petition' he might well just...? sebxx

This thread reminded me of something I've wondered for awhile... Well, it's terribly off-topic, but I'm going to ask anyway and hope no one takes offense. Does anyone know if PW's ever played the song Lycanthropy live? I don't remember hearing it in any recordings, etc. so I'm curious.

Shall put that too on my lists of "things to do before the Wolverines eat me alive" ;D That session (among other things) is also available for listen on 3voor12: =>http://3voor12.vpro.nl/artiesten/artiest/14128174

Thanks, Anne! I think I assumed that the session and gig were the same for some reason, and I just had two recordings. But written for the piano! Interesting. I hope he plays it on his tours with a new arrangement! And that I get to hear it.
