To buy the Vinyl edition (which I'm super pleased about) and the CD and shipping is £45 to Ireland. Which is about €53 I could buy both in HMV for €34 but there is the chance they won't and can't get them and even if the fanzine was just a post note with a stick man drawn by Patrick I'd STILL want it

Ok, so it's up on Patrickwolf.com now. Sounds lovely, looks great but £45 (with shipping) for cd and vinyl... Not okay. Especially not since I'll have to return it at least twice since it's Sandabg handling it. Grrrr! exactly my first thoughts as well. fucking sendback again round 7 or something for me to complain to them, repeating 10 freaking times my own words until they forward it to someone in their company that can actually read. what bothers me most is that with their incapability of packing and sending stuff they ruin perfectly lovely pieces of Patrick's work. (oh and german amazon releases september 21 or october 19 - it's a bit confused haha, but amazon always makes sure you have it on the day of release or early even. sendback release october 15 - which means us non-uk'ers will have their undamaged copies in time for - hopefully - christmas. if only i didn't want that fanzine ) talking about the fanzine - it says handmade, but that's just meaning that it's originally handmade and then has been copied 100+ times, right? nobody stitches 100+ different things together amirite? oh gawd, it realls shits me that they actually put half the amount of your order on top for low-quality shipping. even more than half of it if you just get a simple cd! i really love the new version of overture though. i'll keep listening to that, trying to forget sandfuck now ;D EDIT: did i mention just how much i HATE sandbag? i just tried to order the cd and it showed everything correctly on the page where you enter your card details and everything - but then, after clicking confirm, something went bonkers, so the confirmation page shows me i've ordered the vinyl. i should have possibly closed all other tabs in my browser and/or cleared my cache before trying to order there. this is not starting well... EDIT: they can't change the order, of course. so they're refunding me and i have to place another order. of course i pay for different currency once i pay and once i get refunded with my bank. i bloody hate sendback.

Well, I suppose I'll order the CD edition from the official store (to get the fanzine) and the vinyl from wherever it's cheap. It'll still be cheaper than sandbag's rates. I wonder if Patrick knows that his official store is expensive and doesn't care about the goods they're handling... Anyhow, there's a lot of negativity in this thread, none of which is because of the actual album. I am increasingly impatient to hear it because it has the potential to sound like a piece of heaven. I wish every artist/band would do their "greatest hits" this way. /Tommy

^that's what i'm trying as well. i might have mentioned to william once or twice that the webstore sucks hairy monkey balls... i suppose the alternatives for artist-webstores are limited. the cover artwork is really pretty as well, can't wait to hold the complete booklet in my hands <3

It's available for download on US Itunes! It's weird that it's out over there but not in Europe. Also, whoever payed for the pre-order really should get a free mp3 copy. BUT, at least there are samples on EU iTunes and the album sounds lovely. /t

I sneakily managed to download it from the US itunes and guys it is a revelation! I just adore it...It's 4am and I'm exhausted so can't fully appreciate it or give a fair review but it's just gorgeous. Some songs sound totally different and others are very much the live versions we are so used to...there is a free booklet with the download so I've seen all the artrwork. It's beautiful and he has a lovely message in the dedication! Not too may pics we haven't already seen though...
Full lyrics as well...I hate when there is NO lyrics. I can't get the images extracted cause it's PDF and I don't know how to do it but I'm working on it! I really think he should have released it on all the iTune stores cause I'm afraid it might leak....I can't wait to download it from the Irish store in a few weeks again and obviously get the physical CD and Vinyl. I have this strange feeling that the CD will be digipack (full cardboard). I just get that impression, the artwork would really suit digipack...not like 'The Bachelor' fan edition but more like 'Lungs' by 'Florence + the Machine'
Also this is slightly connected BUT off topic! What's with the random clearout ep's Patrick is going to release at his gig's. I have mixed emotions about them! Mainly jealousy haha but so exciting to, he should have just made one big free digital download ep to coincide with the release of S&R but at least there is nothing major on that first ep just versions of songs we know. I don't dare list off the songs that would have killed me dead if I'd seen them on that ep. Also how will they determine who gets it? I really think it should have been something Patrick can give to a fan of his choice rather than just anyone who goes to his gig and thinks to buy it. Hopefully some of you guys on here will get the chance to buy one and fill us in on its supreme awesomeness!!
Edit: I can't sleep! Extracted the pics so there they are AND I am in love with the new version's of 'London', 'Teignmouth' and 'The Libertine' ...

^oh. my. god. i can't wait!!! i hope it's going to be cardboard for the cd, even though i usually don't like those, but i agree, the artwork would simply be best for that and not come off as powerful behind some plastic shell.

niwo I know I know. I bet the double gatefold vinyl will feature that second photo I uploaded when you open it up and if S&R isn't digipack it would be a shame.. Sorrow By Nature Yeah that would be amazing, even if he uploaded some stuff to like soundcloud rather than going to all the effort of putting it on itunes....we'll see.
