So my House EP arrived yesterday, and my CD+Bonus arrived today. I wish Sandbag would pack things better. My EP was a bit beat up and my CD case had a crack in it. CD was an easy fix but annoyed at the EP. Patrick's own store seems to put them in sturdier mailers than Sandbag's. Theirs are a little thinner it seems. ANYHOW, I am in the US and got my order so if you haven't already you should be getting it soon!

Send them a critical e-mail, they may actually start to package their products in decent packaging.

I did, while telling them I paid a LOT for the box + shipping and that I wasn't okay with the fact that my disc was scratched. They kindly apologised and asked for photos of the item. Now, let's see what they're going to do about it. I am NOT going to return the entire box, at my own expense that's for sure. /t

Hmmm this is all kind of worrying...has anyone received the actual box? Slightly worried I'm going to end up with a crushed package now...
And yeah, I paid £30 for shipping - you'd think they'd make an effort for that price.

Got the box and 2cd and 7" this week as well (all separate orders). All looking fine (esp when you consider how it was packed), but I never realized until just now that the box is missing the poster. Anyone else who has the same problem??

Dang. Sorry to hear this is the norm. I shot them off an email with a critique of their packaging methods but I don't know if it'll actually change anything. I also asked for a replacement sleeve for my EP but I doubt I'll get that (or if it's even possible). It'd be too much of a pain to return & exchange just an EP over seas too. :/

Sandbag did email me me back after I sent them pics and said they will send me a replacement sleeve as soon as they can. I hope they put it in a stiff mailer so it doesn't get bent...

Just an update for those still fighting with damages/missing items from Sandbag. A few weeks ago I got my issue resolved. But only after they sent me the full LP by accident (the packing slip even said only send the House EP sleeve) which they told me to keep since to send it back from the US would be a hassle it was then after that I FINALLY got my House EP. Still wished they packed it better, it was packed the same as before, but at least this time it wasn't so beat up. I decided I'd come out of this pretty well and I was just going to leave it at that. I didn't want to fool with it anymore, and compared to the last EP it was in decent shape. So if you are still messing with this just keep at it, they'll get it right eventually. And you might get some stuff you didn't have before.

After a few "reminder" emails, I got a replacement for the damaged House EP. This time, the cover had a few wrinkles and other damage due it being poorly packaged. However, the actual single was in perfect shape, so at least I have one perfectly good copy of that and a spare which might be listenable despite the scratches.
Maybe someone should tell Patrick that Sandbag isn't completely reliable? Since he always puts a lot of love into making the complete album package, I think he'd be sad to hear about all this.
EDIT: Also, why the heck is the slipcase in the "deluxe" box not of as high quality as the play.com edition? I don't want to sound like I'm not happy about the box/album etc, but a few of these things really could be handled better. I'd definitely pay even more for a bundle if I knew the money was all going to Patrick and not to incompetent Sandbag.
While I'm at it: Did everybody get a thin semi-glossy House EP sleeve? Seeing as the other single sleeves from this album have been thick matte paper, I am curious if there are several editions of that as well...

I second this, although I don't know what the best channel of contact would be for this. But really now, there has got to be a better outlet for this stuff. What I don't understand is they'll use his own site store (Firebrand or whatever it's called) for some things, and then Sandbag for other things. Why can't it all be done through his site store? I haven't had any problems with them so far.
