WHAT ARE DREAMS? Dreams super puzzle me. Are they memories, forebodings signs, links to your subconcious, links to past lives, other realities? I love dreams, they fascinate me. How do they work? It's like your imagination/'mind's eye' x 10! somewhat related article from new scientistQUESTION RELATED TO BIRDS why don't i ever see pigeon babies?

^ You do, Allison. Your brain just blocks them out immediately.
That's how ugly.

I dont understand dreams. That doesnt concern me. What concerns me is that I rarely have dreams and when I do they are ALWAYS about meeting celebrities! I have looked after Robert Smith's toddler in one and been to Brad Pitts party. The sad thing is that it is horrid when you wake up and you realise you are not actually friends with them Apart from when you have annoyed them in a dream, now that is a relief to wake up!

^ You do, Allison. Your brain just blocks them out immediately. That's how ugly. Figures, pigeons are fucking grody. I have another pigeon question though: How come they've always got messed up feet? It grosses me out & depresses me. I'm not sure if this problem is unique to San Franciscan pigeons, but all the pigeons either limp, or are missing a toe, or their foot is all balled up, or something equally nasty. How do their feet get like that? What happened to them?

ALL CITY PIGEONS ARE LIKE THIS, my sister said it was because some people put spikes/acid on rooftops so that they don't stand on them, but they still stand on them and get manky feet, the seagulls here have them too

life is a fiction. it has no past, no future, only context.

^ why is life fiction if it has no past and no future? wouldn't it be present then (the context as you said in present)? is present fiction?
according to schopenhauer present is the only time where you can live. You don't live in past and you won't live in the future so life can only exist right now in the present. This is also why he thinks that it's a bit stupid to demand an afterlife.

well, if you take fact as something that is indisputably the case, what in life is indisputably fact? given that "facts" change depending on the era (ie, it was once fact that the world was flat), humans aren't omniscient, therefore, facts can be regarded as slim on the ground, while opinions are readily available. therefore, the idea of "present" can't be taken as fact, in which case, it's fiction.

Life is when organisms undergo metabolism, maintain homeostasis, possess a capacity to grow, respond to stimuli, and reproduce.
Romi, I want to exalt you so hard for bringing up Schopenhauer (even though I think he's silly)
