Am I the only one who thinks that seventeen years old is, for me right now, not a bad age? It's not thirteen, fourteen, fifteen or sixteen; which were all ages I hated. So far, being seventeen is alright. Not fantastic but not terrible either. I liked turning seventeen because there are so many songs about being seventeen, but the rest of the year was just so agonizingly close to being eighteen.

i don't like this age (16) at all.
i feel old -even though i'm obviously not at all- but i also feel as if i'm at a dead end and i can't do anything i'd like to without being questioned by parents. i like to keep myself to myself in the house.
in any case, bring back 13, that was a great age, there were no pressures of being cool and thus i was hideously gadgy and unaware of it (:

Not being eighteen doesn't really stop me from doing anything, anyway. There's not much I can't do that doesn't just involve me slicking on some make up and putting on some heels; so I don't really mind being only seventeen. Not really so many songs about the eighteenth year.

I guess I never had the courage for lawbreaking, but I think I might be getting over that.

I hated being 14. I hated being 16. Being 18's been pretty sweet, but I doubt being 19 will be much different. I will probably enjoy being 22, for symmetry's sake. PS: Happy birthday. I am with you there, I didn't mind 19 though. I worry about getting old. Saying that I got IDd in the pub when buying fanta lemon the other day!!

I think I will want to stay around the age of 21 forever, [just like the store, laugh outzz louds!!], or I would want to stay six forever, or I would want to stay an old retired lady who gets to play golf and write and not worry about anything but taking my medicine all day Seventeen is kind of bland. But I appreciate. And no matter what age, I'll always have a good balance of youth and maturity.

I'm probably taking this all far too seriously, but there's something deeply troubling about a 14 year old worrying about being 'old'.
I have my own very serious isshoes to do with age, but they're more to do with pining a youthful beauty and carefree demeanour that I never really had anyway.
Edit: with all of the above in mind, I'm at my parents' house for the next week, which is when I traditionally revert back to being about twelve years old. Expect the 'what didn't make your day' thread to be full of my complaining about being grounded and not having any boobs yet before the week is up.
Cheerio, Michael. xxx

I've never experienced getting old, so I don't know what it's like and if I'd prefer it to being young.
Right now I'm 16 and fine. I don't think it's age that matters anyway, it's what you do with the time (dont worry Chloe, I'm quite scared of time too. I think it's ridiculous more than anything else though)
