here in berlin.
yeah, that was nasty. in berlin they didn't shout for morrissey but were talking rubbish during her whole set. :/ i don't know what it is... SHE IS SOO GOOD! i know her since 2004 and was sosooo happy, morrissey decided to take her on his tour. her song "you must love me" was played from morrissey's "pre-show" tape this year. : )

my grandpa who went with me was so impressed i think he went out and got her cd
i'll admit i just wanted to see morrissey but it wasn't that bad, i've sat through far worse to see other bands
did you hear about him collapsing on stage? I was terribly worried.

aww, it's lame when people shout for other people during the opening artists. like, come on, hold your horses.
hmmm best ever. i'm going to say regina spektor when i was thirteen. it was my first time in a bar wearing a stupid wrist band, and her voice was seriously so amazing. i left on a cloud.
memorably, there's also passion pit. everyone was dancing around in a close together mass, and all was well until the people next to me fell over and i fell on top of them and those who were leaning on me tumbled and there were like a dozen of us crushed and i had to breathe in urgent gasps through someone's perfumed hair. it was hilarious/awful.

On the whole shouting out bit, I saw The Blow (Khaela on her own) as support for SlagsmÄlsklubben. We basically had to elbow people to make them shut up.
Best gig is too difficult, but Akron/Family earlier this year was pretty fucking great.

Best gig ever? Erasure when I was 10. My first one ever. Andy Bell was in a victorian gown, then stripped to a burgendy corset and bustle. I was traumatised a lil' bit.
Also, Depeche Mode when I was 13. Oh I danced so much :')

NIN at the MEN was incredibly amazing. i was like 5 rows from the front with 20,000 capacity but got pushed back to about 10 rows in the moshpit but seeing as we were central that was still amazing but i got my toe broken even though everyone around use (all men) looked after me and my best mate. so that's my best gig. However, an honourable mention goes to idlewild earlier this month because we met them all afterwards and they were dead nice so that was amazing. oh that sounds awesome I'm kinda glad I didn't have an opportunity to be in the pit at a NIN show, i was back in a seated area but it was still great, although it sounds like you had a better time

Few months ago, Peasant, was really awesome. Not awesome as in jumping around and being squeezed by fat fans but really.. awesome as in amazingly relaxed. There were like only 20 people and there were couches, so we just sat there and enjoyed the music. The guy, Peasant, was really friendly. During his performance he was like conversing with everyone in the room. R-r-really awesome

Theres a venue near me (which is the nearest for milesss) and i've been to quite a few good gigs there. The old venue was at a place called the Ski Lodge which was basically the bar next to the dry ski slope and now and then pretty good bands play there. There was this whole day festival thing there once which was mental because venues are usually pretty damn hot but this place was boiling and it was daytime in August. This was a few years ago mind so the bands that i loved that were playing (You Me At Six, Flood of Red, Ghost of A Thousand and Kids in Glass houses). That was the last ever gig at the Ski Lodge which was a shame because it was one of the best places to go for a proper good gig. Gallows are always an amazing band to see live, i've seen them twice now and both times have been crazy. Everytime I die were supporting them for the second time and Frank from Gallows just ran off the stage and jumped into the crowd during one Everytime I Die's songs and security grabbed him and got him into a headlock because they thought his was some random guy. Oh and Steps at Wembley and Busted at the CIA. Wayyyyyyy Oh H, how I loved you.

My best ever gig was Enter Shikari at Melkweg in Amsterdam in January 2009. I've seen Enter Shikari 31 times. Sadly PW clashed with ES at Leeds Festival. I'd not heard PW before the Festival, and so I saw ES, but I now yearn to see PW. I have thought about going to the Palladium, but I have exceptionally long legs which makes sitting in most seats impossible.
I'm seeing ES at Melkweg again in January 2010.

I'm tempted to say the Dead Weather earlier this year at The Horseshoe in Toronto. It was SO GOOD. They announced it the day before and the horseshoe is a bar (read: small), so it was exciting just to be there! It was just really rock and roll, even if that is pretty cliche to say. Close behind is probably Patrick Wolf Grandest Finale (second night) at Shepherd's Bush Empire in 2007. I don't know... it was a bit magical what with the set and it was (supposed to be) my last night in London and it was Christmastime and the show was really good on top of all that and yeah... (Sorry off topic.. my first gig was The Beach Boys when I was three which I'd imagine was pretty great but I only remember bits of it )

I think it was Muse last night. Seriously, absolutely MINDBLOWING, they were amazing!!! ;D Plus they played my favourite song which I didn't think they were going; I actually cried, I was that happy Really, really want to see them live again now!!! After that, it's definitely Patrick Wolf; probably the November 2007 Memorial Hall show And my first concert was actually Martyn Joesph I think, but I tend to think of it as a Guide 'Big Gig' when I was thirteen, featuring the delights of Girls Aloud, Rachel Stevens, the 411 and the like
