In a way I do agree with this post slightly. It is a bit annoying about the rough trade ep as I can't really afford to buy the album twice as I've already brought the Bandstocks edition. To be fair, it means more people will buy the album to get the ep and investors will be more likely to get some money back. But still... It is kinda annoying.

i'm sending a mailout today with regards to the bandstocks limited edition that explains there is a minor delay... i hope you all won't be too disappointed but there is a good reason for it.. i wanted mine next week too, though. Oh no! I guess this means that since I'm in the states it'll take even longer. :/ Well at least I'll get my digital download on time....right? BTW Jay, I can't stop staring at the gif in your sig. It's....hypnotically cute. Anyhow to the original poster: yeah leaks and early sales (whether intentional or not) suck but there's not much to do about it. Especially with leaks, with the Internet being what it is. I understand though your feeling of being somewhat cheated since a monetary investment was involved here, but we are getting extras and perks for our patience. And we got to help out Patrick, that's exciting! But yeah, it is kinda frustrating. But Monday is almost here!

I don't want to be a bother, but I emailed bandstocks about being unable to purchase the album, and I am wondering if a copy of the lovely deluxe disc could be reserved for me. However, I have not yet received a response from bandstocks, and it has been several days. Is there anything else I can do? x

I also invested because I wanted to help this album to exist, but I'm still not that perks such as the Ltd Ed, aren't just ways to get us to spend even more money. It's a business, this I understand, but I took the whole Bandstocks thing to be about finding an alternative to the money grabbing way that things were done before but, honestly, I'm seeing no real difference so far.

Its a fair point Dee, and i have thought this at times, but it is an independent way of making music and i know if he was still on a major label and i had the chance to buy a signed album i still would, so either way i would be spending the same amount, just without the initial bandstock and the feeling i'd helped out a little.
I do know what you mean though... Its turned out to be a very expensive venture for me and one which, in these financially difficult times hasn't been easy to fund, but its been an experience and i've enjoyed it overall.

Another initial idea was that the profits gained by the album would go partially to the Bandstock holders. Is this still going to work and how?

Yeah but surely thats 30% divided between however many investors. Yes, but it'll be divided not by how many investors, but how many stocks. If the whole £100,000 were sold the album would have to generate £333,333 for everyone to get their £10 back, but I think in the end it was less than sold so it'll be less than the £333,333. The person from Bandstocks explained it all in the Bandstocks discussion thread (which I will try to find a link for in a second). Obviously it could be more or less than the £10 depending how the album does. Edit: here (long post about halfway down the page)

Well you can only download it at 128kbps. Most artists let you download a song for free off their new album nowadays.
In relation to the latest Bandstocks email; what bitrate will the download be?

In relation to the latest Bandstocks email, my email didn't contain any promo code...

"The promo code is
teamwolf followed by your unique Bandstocks ID number i.e. the number at the top of your profile box when you are logged on to your Bandstocks acccount."

Yeah, I got confused at first then I realised you have to log in and get your code and add it to the 'teamwolf' bit. Like, err 'teamwolf1057476' or however long they are.

Is it definitely available for download now? Because I've done everything it's told me to, and it's just come up with a list of track names and no 'download links'.
