Everyone seems to rate Demolition as the worst song on the album in reviews and comments i've been reading on websites that it's slow and goes nowhere i absolutely adore it it may not be a fast paced as Paris but thats the genius of it, its different and has so much emotion in it and the strings compliment it so well Just my thoughts any way Show your appreciation and comments about Demolition

i also like this song very much. it's such a surprise after loud and fast Childcatcher. and it needs a different kind of attention.

i LOVE it because i think its the saddest song on the album....its so beautiful. An album needs both slow and faster songs to be a good "whole" if anyone understands my expression and i love the lyrics....

I cant remember if the recorder is played on demolition (I am at work and cant read the album credits) but the guy who plays the recorder solos is brilliant, so fast and tune-ful and gorgeous... ohhh *clasp my hands together and roll my eyes* ;D

Yeah I only made the connection between the two quite recently.
Theres a whole bunch of artists with collaborative connections.
Patrick, Simon Bookish, Capitol K and Bishi all come to mind.

Demolition is one of my favourite songs. It sounds so sad and full of emotion, it really connects in some way with me I guess. It's absolutely beautiful.

i love demolition!as i do all his songs. if i had to pick a song off lycanthropy that i listened to the least it would be 'dont say no'. side three of lycanthrop lp is my favorite side to listen to. it begins with demolition, london, and then paris. it is a lovely chapter/

Having said that, I can't seem to take side one away from my record player...the more I listen to 'Bloodbeat', the more obsessed I become. It just pulses through you... ...but I think 'Demolition' makes you stop and gasp. There's one point where his voice, I think, rises about two octaves in the tiniest of moments, although it's quite low down in the mix and not at a very high volume - but if you listen closely, towards the end of the song, you'll catch it. His vocals swoop upwards so effortlessly - it's like they're taking flight. The lyrics are so eerie...about the basement starting to bleed...it certainly has a feeling of isolation. You can imagine this crumbling, empty house... ...this is the second song about a house I absolutely adore, one that makes me catch my breath. The first was 'This House Is Not For Sale' by Ryan Adams - another very ghostly experience... Lauren x

fudgy fydgy lauren. then i suppose you have heard 'avalanche' and 'the shadow lands' you and your writing! karma karma! Ooh yes Are you a Ryan adorer too? Two of Ryan's most beautiful, slow-building tracks I'm sure you'll agree...in fact, that long exit to Shadowlands, with the sliding guitars...is possibly my favourite bit on the Love Is Hell records...after 'This House Is Not For Sale' of course. D'you know, it took me so long to realise what that song ('THINFS') was about - I think it had been one of those times where you hear the lyrics but don't really listen to them closely enough, or for some reason they just escape you; then one day, I was in the car and it hit me that the people in the house had died... ...at least, that's the way I read the story behind it. So beautiful but so disturbing... ...I love songs that conjure up places so well. I think that's part of the magic of Patrick for me - so many of his songs evoke certain locations; you can see all the moors and the seas. 'Teignmouth', 'Penzance', 'London', 'Paris' - it makes you want to be there soooooo badly, doesn't it?! Lauren x
