Okay... I have been checking Facebook and all the other usual social media stuff daily, but of course he's actually posted something the only time I didn't. It's great that he finally commented on the status of the book. It's just a pity that it took so darn long before he did. I'm fine with artists taking forever to make their art (I've been working on at least three different musical projects for years now with no end in sight...), but when you sell a product you're kind of obligated to deliver, or at least let your buyers know why they're not getting what they paid for. Even if you happen to be Patrick Wolf. Letting half a year go by without any updates... Not a good idea, really. Anyhow, let's hope the "next couple of weeks" thing is true. Should be here for my birthday. I don't know how the ticket sales are going, since he doesn't play anywhere near me, but I'd imagine that just a tiny bit of promotion would help with this sort of thing too. I don't know who Team Wolf are these days, but maybe they could put something on Twitter/Facebook/Instagram or whatever people are using? Congrats on going to SIX shows! I felt like crazy fan seeing him twice when he happened to be in Sweden. Wish I could afford/have time/vacation days to go see at least one or two shows this time around. Wild Life really isn't my thing, musically, but now I want the full track anyhow and it's not going to happen. Boohoo. I think this place started to go extinct a long time ago, even before the great Facebook migration. Some of the old fans lost interest when PW went more mainstream and less "lost boy"/experimental folk/weird. Some "grew up", I think. Other things in life became more important. Just like any other artist forum, it's also been very quiet when there's been no releases and it's been A LONG LONG TIME since any new stuff. Not really counting Sundark. I'm definitely not an active poster here anymore, but still around from time to time to check in. I don't really want to admit it even to myself, but life's been less forum chat and more work. Haha that's always the way! Yeah the book has been a bit of a shambles, but hopefully this time he really means it - it'll be great to finally see it! Ohhh I totally forgot when I replied before that he has actually been promoting the shows on facebook - almost every time I go on there there's a sponsored post from his page with the UK tour dates. But it would be useful if he posted a complete list somewhere too! Haha thanks, I've never managed so many shows in a tour before - my record is 4 in a week during the nights of winter tour! Aww that's a shame, hopefully he might add more shows soon so you can see him! Wild Life has always been one of my favourites - I'm so disappointed it turned out not to be true (even though in hindsight it seemed unlikely he'd release it as a single after all this time!) That's true, there were usually only like 5 active members back when I used to spend all my time on here! Maybe it'll pick up a bit again once he finally releases something new. Another one of those stolen demo recordings has surfaced! soundcloud.com/bloodychambermusic/tomlSounds like the Battle megamix version of (Worst) 'Time of my Life', with the Lupercalia vocals. If anyone's listening, the Battle Megamix demo of 'Together' would make my dreams come true. I don't know what they're trying to achieve posting all these demos and fake accounts - did you see they made a fake Bloody Chamber Music twitter as well? Then they changed the name to Glory Chapel Music and started making fun of Patrick when people started calling them out on it... does this person not have anything better to do with their time??

So, it there's really a tour, then why no official announcement? If I was going on a tour, I'd make sure to let people know in advance. There've been a couple of silly instagram and Facebook posts but nothing serious for a long time. Officially announcing shows when they're booked isn't really Patrick's style Haha, he shared a link to an article about the UK dates on twitter and facebook today though so I guess that counts! He's denied the rumour that they'll be part of a bigger world tour, but there's no doubt that the ones which have been announced so far are real - my tickets for all 6 UK shows have been delivered already and some friends of mine have bought tickets to the European shows with no problems. Calpernia has announced on her facebook that she'll be supporting him and she seems a reliable source Considering that a lot of people have also paid for a book that's nowhere to be seen, maybe it would be better to update the fans on whatever is going on, even if that means confessing that there are no new songs and the book money's gone to paying rent or something. Speak of the devil! patrickwolf.proboards.com/post/221137Also, if Wild Life is fake, somebody's done a good job! I don't think there are any live recordings out there that are good enough to put together a vocal track that sounds this good. It's not a fake, Patrick just had no intention of releasing it. He said on facebook today that it was an old stolen demo recording from 8 years ago! Oh, and while I'm at it, we should resurrect this place! I miss it. This is my first post here in a very long time! Yes, I miss this place too! I feel a bit guilty that's it's been so inactive the past couple of years - I think it's our fault for migrating to facebook! My twitter wolfpack friends (including most of my old wolfboard friends) and I started up a facebook group so we'd have a place to chat with no character limits and it ended up becoming an unofficial fan group with 80 members! So now we use the group instead of this place to share news and chat. I tried to encourage everyone back to the wolfboard at one point but it didn't last long... I think people tend to check facebook a lot more often so it's easier to keep up to date with everything that way, and most of my friends who'd never been on here before weren't very interested in joining because it was so inactive. Plus with our own group we can keep out spammers and don't have to worry about going off topic or anything But I'd be really sad to see this place die - I've made so many good friends on here over the years! I always keep an eye on it but I've only bothered posting when people ask questions... now there are signs of activity again though I'll start making an effort to share on any news/info we hear about And you're welcome to join the facebook group if you like (as are any other fans on here too!), just PM me

The Wildsound tour will feature a drummer and a bassist/pianist, and will coincide with the release of a split 7" single featuring 2 new songs, Wake The Wildsound and Goldengate. Patrick says “Today I put my ear to the ground and heard the beat of dancing bears, roar of the captive crowd, these dismal stories do ourselves confound, but I just want to wild awake, wake the wild sound". Calpernia will be supporting him at these shows.

TW have confirmed that an album with that title and tracklist doesn't exist unfortunately I've no idea why someone would bother making it all up??!!! Baptista, Ringworm, Devil Behind Me and Watcher in the Woods are the names of the new songs he's played live over the past couple of years and the first three titles are the bits of text that were showing on his website. I don't know if the others are real song titles or just completely invented! The photo is just the one that's being used to promote the tour and Wild Life was recorded several years ago (whether or not he has any plans to release it I've no idea!) The name of Patrick's record label is "Bloody Chamber Music" not "Bloody Chamber Music Label" and these accounts have never released anything before so I think they must be fake. The UK and European tour dates with Calpernia are real though!

Don't worry, it's definitely official and there are several more shows too - my friend has posted all the info on the patrickwolf.org site here: patrickwolf.org/just-announced-the-wildsound-tour/ Patrick generally isn't great at announcing shows, but in this case it looks like the start of a Wildsound European tour so maybe they're waiting til they have a full list of dates before they make an official announcement.

TW said there's been a delay in manufacturing and they're not sure yet when the dispatch date will be, and they can issue refunds to anyone who doesn't want to wait.

I was at the Edinburgh show too (there wasn't one in 2012 - I guess you mean Feb 2013?) and it was one of my favourites I've ever been to! He was in such a great mood, he had amazing energy and I loved how he laughed and joked with the audience, telling funny stories. In fact I was so overwhelmed by how good it was I forgot to ask for a setlist for the first time ever! I've seen him 13 times since then and each show has been incredible - the new songs sounded beautiful and I really can't wait to hear the next album! Things have been a little disorganised recently, but I'm sure he'll sort himself out once he returns from his sabbatical and is ready to release the new album. And he has his own record label now doesn't he, so finding someone to release it shouldn't be an issue.

I don't believe I am "blinded by loyalty", as nothing (not even his earlier albums) have ever touched my heart the way his latest 2 releases Brumalia and S&R have. As far as I'm aware nobody seems to have observed a waning in his fanbase in the close to 20 other countries where I have wolfpack friends... I certainly haven't observed it in Scotland. Maybe it's only in the north of England. I've been to several shows in the north of England during the S&R/post-S&R era and the venues have been packed, the audiences blown away... but that's just my experience.

I personally think Sundark and Riverlight was his greatest album to date. Especially when you compare his voice to the way it sounded on the earlier releases (not that it didn't sound great then, but his singing style has developed dramatically these past 2 albums). It's a shame you haven't liked any of the the later releases, but I think you're in the minority. I haven't seen his fanbase even remotely decrease in number these past few years, and 99.9% of opinions I've heard have been positive.
Each album has been drastically different depending on what Patrick's been going through, how he's been feeling, etc. and that's one of the things I like most about his music. So when he's happy he writes more positive music (e.g. Lupercalia and The Magic Position). I like it (plus I thought it was great to see him so happy on stage/in person!), the majority of the wolfpack like it... I'm sorry you don't, but he obviously can't please everybody.

It's been down for a long time!!! I remember when it first went down (a year or two ago maybe, I can't remember exactly when!) there was talk of it being refurbished, but I guess it was never finished... maybe they'll have it up and running again when the new album's released! His sandbag store is still around (although rarely updated and never matches what they have on the merch table) - you can find it by searching "Patrick Wolf sandbag" on google. I guess his twitter and facebook are the best place to keep an eye out for news (his twitter mentions especially, since his account isn't all that active at the moment) and last fm or songkick are usually the best places to find out about tour dates

Sorry it took me so long to reply - I was going to try and give a detailed answer but I have too many happy memories and I don't even know where to begin! So I'll just keep it brief - I've been to 16 shows (17 in less 48 hours time! ) and each one has been so special and unique <3 The most special show for me was the Palladium - it was the first time I'd ever travelled outside Scotland for a gig and I spent half the night crying because I couldn't believe I was actually there at this huge spectacular one off show! I've met so many amazing people and the night of winter tour was the most fun week I've ever had! (Jessie you missed out when HE PLAYED EUSTACIA FOR US!!! ) Meeting Patrick-wise, the two most special nights for me were both the times I saw him in Edinburgh - the first he wore the necklace I made him the entire night (under his top on stage - I almost didn't notice so he wasn't even humouring me!), even though he changed outfit three times! And I saw a fan photo of him with a girl in Belfast the next day STILL WEARING IT! And during The City he came along the front of the crowd and held my hand as he was singing, then kissed it! The second time in Edinburgh he kept telling me I had to stop standing outside waiting for him because he always gets really worried about me... and I somehow ended up telling him how I'd just spent a month's wages on Belfast and London and I wanted to come to all his shows more than anything and I saved up money for shows by taking pack lunches to uni instead of buying food, and he was just like "awwwww" and gave me the hugest hug and a kiss on both cheeks and I felt like he really cared about me (Similar thing happened in Gothenburg earlier this week actually, minus my crazy ramblings - I got to chat to him by myself for the first time in ages and he was asking me about my life and he seemed to really care about me!) Anyway, he also played Penzance just for me that night and called me "lovely Cat" Best things he's said to me - "Hello Cat... look cats!" and "You smell like Thorpe Park" Also I've gotta tell the full story of the pineapple moment - there were like 20 of us scattered down the middle of the road waiting for Patrick (because it was a quiet little side street and road works and the tour bus were blocking the pavements)... then all of a sudden a car comes so we start trying to herd everybody onto the tiny bit of pavement directly in front of the stage door... everybody heads over in a massive swarm and just as I'm saying "I bet someone's going to walk out that door now!", the door opens and out walks Patrick!!! A momentary look of terror on his face at the swarm of 20 or so people headed straight for him, then "Who wants a pineapple?" Also Jessie 6 is not bad - it took me 4 years to get to 6!!!

Hi Anna, welcome the wolfboard! Aww, I know exactly what you mean - it's 6 years since I discovered his music and I've never found anything else that compares to it <3 Haha it's a ghost! We used to get a lot of spam posts about selling k-words on here for some reason, so we must be blocked from posting the word now! Test: FUCKING fdfghjkKITCHEn Edit: Yep if you k.i.t.c.h.e.n (without the full stops) if does indeed turn into that!
