I've got a spare +1 to see Patrick play a session at NME next Tuesday if there's anyone who'll be in London, can get to SE1 by 5pm and would like to come with me.
I need to e-mail them names asap so if I haven't got a taker by tomorrow lunchtime I'll tell them it'll just be me going.

ok, last call for this - is there really no-one going to be in London on Tuesday afternoon who wants to come and see PW play a few songs? Seems like such a waste of an opportunity for someone *sigh*

I'll probably take a camera but most likely a pocket one rather than the big SLR as that would be a bit intrusive in what I imagine will be a very small setting. Of course, they may not allow me to use it anyway... I do have a fair few pics of Patrick that I've snapped at various gigs as and when it's been appropriate to take the camera

Up in the NME office on the 9th floor Patrick said he'd been told he could do three songs, the person who took us up from the lobby had said she thought he was doing four and we actually got five The Libertine Hard Times Universal Soldier (Buffy Sainte Marie cover) Wind in the Wires Wolf Song I did film all of them but am not too sure how good the quality will be from my pocket camera but NME also had people there with pro equipment to film it so the session will appear on their website at some point I'm sure

it was kind of awkward but in a cute sort of way, not in a cringeworthy one. It was definitely different!
It's been a bit of an odd week all round but I'll try to get the videos up online over the weekend.

Right then, a conversation the other day with someone who works for NME and had no clue this had happened (!) led to me realising that I never did upload the videos I took so, even though the official NME ones are out there, I've put mine on YT now. I know, I am hopeless, but if anyone is interested they're all here: www.youtube.com/user/f3lollipops

Awesome! Thank you!!! I love "Universal Soldier" so much! Remember when that douchebag insulted him on Twitter about this performance and Patrick called him out on it? (My hero!!). And "Wolf Song"!!! This is so much better than the other videos of it on YouTube. I would have never been able to work again. Hahah. I'd spend every day thinking about that time Patrick Wolf played at my work.

It was a bit of a weird one - I was practically sitting underneath somebody's desk and it was kind of hard to keep the camera pointing the right way while watching them play. I took Patrick my now customary food gift, this time it was a box of home made mince pies and he signed my Sundark & Riverlight vinyl "dearest Andrea, all mince and no pie! Love Patrick x" Thank you very much! The sound is so so good btw These were filmed on my ancient little Canon point and press which, though not great for stills, constantly amazes me with the quality of the video footage & sound it produces!
