Thank you!!! ;D (Hope Patrick doesn't mind...) Don't have time to listen to them properly now but it's amazing to hear a decent quality version of Brother John/The Marriage with Owen Pallett - i have a terrible quality version of that on my ipod that i ripped off youtube

I made cover art if someone need one for phone/player The EP totally blown me away. It's so beautiful & emotional, especially Brother John/The Marriage and Walpurgisnacht. He's a pure genius. <3

dont you think this is totally wrong? you have patrick is hand pressing these personally from his own computer, what do you think merchandise is for? it's to keep a lot of the tour afloat financially, how do you know there wasn't a proper release for this planned at some point.
I would be disgusted if i was patrick and i'm ashamed to call myself part of his fanbase if this is how little you respect the work he puts in to make personal objects and music for his fans.. this never used to be a file sharing site.. don't lower the standard and take this link down.
respect and support the independent artists and labels in the world. or the music and tours just won't happen if the finances aren't there..

If there was any possible way for me to buy it i'd be willing to spend any amount of money, but this is the only way i'll ever be able to hear these songs (assuming he's moved onto a different EP by the time he gets to Glasgow). Obviously it'd be a different case if we'd been at those shows and just weren't willing to spend the money!!! And i'm not even going to download it until i've asked Patrick if he minds. It just doesn't seem fair that some people get the chance to hear these songs and not others, when some of us have spent years trying to track down songs like these and would buy them if we could. I wouldn't have uploaded it myself but if it's out there and i have the chance to hear it i'm not going to turn it down!!! And if there was going to be a proper release (which i doubt) we'd obviously all still buy it! And i would never illegally download any song unless i didn't think it would ever be released. I downloaded The Days in 2009 along with a whole load of other unreleased songs, but then i found out it was maybe going to be on Lupercalia, so every single time it came on my ipod for the next year and a half i would skip it - i didn't listen to it again til i'd bought Lupercalia (i didn't want to delete it because i didn't know for sure and it was a live version). I also spent £30 on the PW EP when i don't have a record player, just to allow myself to rip Empress and Pumpkin Soup off youtube. And when i found out Night Train was actually not an unreleased song i bought it from itunes despite the fact i already had it on my ipod. I would never download anything instead of buying it! So please don't tell me i don't have respect for Patrick!!! (Oh and on the Lupercalia tour i spent over £60 on merchandise in one night so i support him rather a lot!) I understand where you're coming from and think it's great that you respect Patrick, but i think you're misjudging this situation. Jessie, I compared my tshirt with the store picture and the lines look a wee bit sort of messier and hand drawn than the picture, is that what you mean?

I hope i'm not breaking board's rules.. Unfortunately, I'm quite sure you are, even though the record's only released in a very tiny quantity and I'm sure everybody wants to hear it. I'll remove the link for now, at least. Sorry! /Tommy EDIT: Darn, I forgot that I can't mod this part of the Wolfboard. No idea if the other mods are around, so please, just remove the link jaqkvade. (Sorry again!)

Sorry I left a long post earlier and deleted it because I realized I may have been rude and I was aggravated about something unrelated. So sorry if it came off harsh, but I do think we all love & support Patrick's music and trust me I've spent a lot of money for Patrick related merch/tickets/travel in the last 2 weeks ($2,000+). I agree about deleting the link since its against the board rules (although that's not going to delete the source), but unlike what Marina implied, I don't think there was any ill intent and everyone on this board supports Patrick and has talked about nothing but how to buy these EP's since he first mentioned them. I don't *HAVE* to buy most of Patrick's music. I have a Rhapsody subscription and all of the albums are there - completely legal. I still bought them on iTunes to support him and have also bought the cds & the EP as well as everything on the merch table. Maybe we will get lucky & he will release whatever leftover EP's he has through the store. Now I wish I hadn't deleted that post because I'm having to repeat myself, but hopefully I'm being nicer this time.

Hmmm.... Ok jaqkvade I love that you went to the effort of making artwork. I love it. marina You probably said that to some of the most hardcore Patrick fans there are. I'm not gonna have a big retaliation rant but I think our dedication to Patrick and his music speaks for itself. I love you @cat! You pretty much summed up what my response was going to be. I have spent an obscene amount of money on my obsession for Patrick and will continue to do so. I spend every single penny I earn on music. My CD collection is also insane, vinyls everything so I won't apologise for LISTENING to new Patrick music when it's right there. I actually hate downloading, like I much prefer physical copies so I will most definately be buying an archive EP at some stage, maybe even 2 haha. I won't even mention what I spent on the Patrick Wolf EP jessie as the owner of the actual PHYSICAL EP you don't need to explain yourself!! *still jealous* Finally I'd also like to note that SoundCloud isn't technically a file sharing site. It's like a music equivalent of YoiuTube, even Patrick himself uses it as does many other artists. Also as there are about 50+ of this exact EP in existence I think we're (Marina included) all being naive in thinking Patrick sat at the computer burning ALL of them one after an other, the first one maybe...if they were all different I'd believe it but I'd say he picked the tracks that he did and handed the mechanical side of things to someone else. I don't think there will ever be a physical release from the store or even digitally it just cancels out the meaning behind buying the ep at the concert. I know we wouldn't cause it's us but if a casual fan bought the EP and the Patrick was selling it online they might be miffed you know ... Also I just want to clarify that jaqkvade originally mentioned that the EP had leaked all over SOUNDCLOUD and TUMBLR. I don't know about anyone else but I don't know how to download from either so...

I was going to say a lot of stuff, but I find almost everything has been said thanks to Cat, Jessie and Damien. It was bound to leak and one can always choose not to listen to it/ download it/ wait for a release (which I think is rather unlikely as pointed out by others). I'm a huge fan, but I don't own all of Patrick's eps in physical form (or for that matter all the vinlys), just because I don't have the monnaie. And atm I much prefer saving that money to go to his shows and buy new records of other artists I enjoy (and I've heavily invested in S&R of course) rather than buy old eps from former fans (because that doesn't support an artist, now does it?)

I deleted the link and i'm sorry if posting it injured someone. That's why i firstly just noticed that EP is leaked and didn't wanted to post link since people asked. Of course i'm always trying to support Patrick and spending lots of money to buy albums & t-shirts (even prices for shipping in Ukraine is quite cosmic), but the situation with this EP is pretty unique, as said in previous posts. I am only able to visit his shows in Russia (as he has never been to Ukraine and i'm not sure he will came to us) but now he's boycotting Russia, so i didn't saw any chance to buy the EP (what i would obviously do with pleasure since i collecting his cds). Patrick always says about equality and what is he doing with this ep? People don't have equality rights to listen to this ep. Therefore i really don't feel shame listening to it, i'm too 'hardcore fan' not to listen to this great material, sorry me, Patrick.

Haha, oh yes Damien we're the most hardcore fans there are ;D There were download buttons on soundcloud btw I may have backed them up on my computer (just in case they get taken offline)... but i'm pretending they're not there until i've asked Patrick if he minds me downloading them I've been so busy i haven't actually time to listen online yet anyway! (I also bookmarked the link and the songs are still there... ) Anyway, we don't have to justify ourselves to anyone - we're doing nothing wrong by listening!

^ True! Plus isn't the point of music to LISTEN to it. We're hardly running some major illegal crime ring :/ I have no clue where the button is. I'm that silly/naive :S

So we all know they're hand made, but is it so hand made that they're burned on CD-R?

Yes, they are burned on a CD-R. The ink hadn't dried on mine so it was a little smudged on the inside of the wrapper. Mine says made in Brooklyn where he was staying and yours says made in Manhattan where he played so it would have been from that second night. That's nice. It makes them all a little more unique. I think you're right about the numbering, it just looks strange and I was wondering how he could possibly keep up with that signing more at the venue. I think he started off with a certain # then did more because so many people were asking for them. I started to buy an extra one in case someone wanted it, but I was running out of cash. I wish I had now. I wish he would answer if there will be an EP*2. I'd be tempted to send someone money if I hadn't just ordered all of these singles online today.
